The Main Stream Media, the New Media & Kermit Gosnell

In 2011, when the news broke, I wrote a huge number of pieces about the shop of horrors that was the abortion mill run by Kermit Gosnell in West Philadelphia.

His trial began about 5 weeks ago. I will admit I haven't really posted about it. In part because I have not been posting very regularly due to personal situations. But also in part because every time I looked at the articles put up by LifeNews or LifeSiteNews as well as Newsbusters, I was at a loss for where to start.  Normally for a trial like this, one or two articles a day would be the norm, making it easy to know where to start. But in the case of the Gosnell trial 5, 6, 7 or even more articles each day was the norm. 

The horror stories have been such that you would expect the Main Stream Media to be giving this coverage like it would for any mass murderer like a John Wayne Gacy. However, the MSM has mostly ignored the story. Given that the Gosnell story shows the truth about the abortion industry, it is no wonder the MSM has mostly ignored it. Abortions are supposed to be safe, done in clean facilities & nothing like those horrible back alley abortions before Roe v Wade. What Gosnell shows is that the reality about abortion is those back alley abortions are the norm because of Roe v Wade. Legal abortion didn't stop them, it encouraged them instead.
So last week, Pro-lifers decided to go   around the MSM & use Twitter & Facebook to get the word out. On Friday, 12 April 2013, Pro-lifers sent out tweets with the hashmark #Gosnell.  Because I was waiting for installation of my new W-Fi at home, I was unable to participate during the main time set aside. I did do a couple things on my Facebook page before the date as well as since.
The 1st TweetFest was so successful that a 2nd TweetFest has been called for tommorrow, 17 April 2013. This time arround I will be able to participate & am calling on all those who have a Twitter account or Facebook page to participate as well.

The process is simple. Send out as many tweets as you can as well as put up as many posts on your Facebook page about who Gosnell is & the evil he has perpetrated.

The 1st Tweetfest has forced the MSM to start paying some attention. Now is the time to keep the pressure up so that people will see what abortion, as well as the abortion industry is really like. Evil thrives in darkness. When those who should, don't speak up, they become cooperator in that evil. We saw that in Nazi Germany when people who knew what was being done to the Jews in the prison camps stayed silent because they didn't want to get involved.
We can't allow the same to be said about us in the USA by those who will follow after us.

Again We See What The Abortion Industry Means By Safe

As I have said many a time before, the Abortion Industry doesn't really care about women;s health or safety, just making a fortune murdering unborn babies. The latest from Minnesota is more proof of that.

KAAL-TV6 has a story about a new bill at the Capitol that would put some basic regulations on abortion clinics.

The bill "would require clinics that perform abortions to be licensed and regulated by the Minnesota Department of Health. Under the bill, health officials would inspect clinics twice a year, with one unannounced visit." The abortion industry tries to claim their clinics are no different that any other health clinic out there. So you would think they would have no problem with being subjected to the same regulations. But no, they don't. Linnea House, with the Minnesota Abortion Rights Action League, said that  "this is a veiled attempt to limit access to abortions and gives the state unprecedented authority to close abortion clinics down if they have a high enough number of violations that go uncorrected for a lengthy period of time."

As usual, the industry is screaming that any regulation is an attempt to limit abortion access. so, by their logic, regulations on dentists' offices are an attempt to limit access to dental care. Or requiring any licensing of a health clinic is an attempt to limit access to health care. I could go on & on. But you get the point, those regs aren't there to limit access, they are there to insure that basic minimal health & safety standards are met. So why are abortion "clinics' supposed to be treated any differently.

But it is the last part of House's statement that really gives things away.  She said the law "gives the state unprecedented authority to close abortion clinics down if they have a high enough number of violations that go uncorrected for a lengthy period of time."  Did you get that, if a clinic has enough safety & health violations over a long period of time, to hell with women's safety, that doesn't matter. Would she feel the same way about a veterinarian's clinic where she takes her pet getting away with the same number of longstanding violations? Could she honestly say it is OK for it to remain open? So why shouldn't an "abortion clinic" be held to the same standard as a veterinarian clinic?

It should, if they truly cared about a woman's safety. But since they don't. Again & again we have seen what standards the abortion industry operates under, Gosnell, NIWC in Rockford & many more examples can be cited of the unsanitary conditions that abortion clinics operate under. This problems came about because of a failure to regulate the industry as it should have been.

The problems of unsanitary conditions, along with the other investigations of covering up rape, incest, white slavery etc, show that when you don't respect life before birth, you don't care about it any more after birth. Yes, there are people in the industry who sincerely claim they care about women, but they either close their eyes to what is really going on arround them or they finally wake up to reality & leave the industry.

So, the next time you hear someone upset about even basic regs being put on abortion clinics, ask them why they should be treated any different than other health clinics that they claim to be a part of.

Testimonies About the Harm Abortion Does

These clips are taken from Bloodmoney. I have to warn you that the story of what happenned to one woman is graphic. Some of the others are almost as bad.   1 of those you will see in this video is Norma McCorvey, Roe of Roe v Wade who has since come over to the Pro-life side. Another is a former worker at an abortion mill. These are the stories that the abortion industry don't want you to hear because they tell the true story of the ongoing damage that abortion wrecks in the lives of all those involved in an abortion, men & women.

This segment should make it clear why the documentary was called Bloodmoney. As I have so often said, the abortion industry tries to paint themselves as concerned about women & their health. They are not, they are an industry out to make money by murdering unborn babies. For the most part, they care nothing about the women they victimize.

As time goes on & more stories get out, people will see that the NIWCs & Gosnells & Tillers are the rule, not the exception. Someday abortion mills will be looked on with the same horror that the Nazi death camps are looked on. Someday they will be seen as the evil they were for how they dehumanized people & turned them into a source of profit just like the slave ships of yore did.

39 years of legal abortion in the USA, abortion being pushed worldwide as a solution not the evil it really is. Well, I say BASTA!!!!!!! Enough is enough! This infamia MUST cease.

We cannot be silent. We must not let what the Obama regime is doing scare us into silence or surrender. Our cause is just. We are on God's side in this fight. & any cost we pay will, in the end, be worth it.

Just A Reminder of What the Abortion Industry Sees as Safe & Rare

"Legal, safe & rare".

That has been the mantra of the abortion industry for the last 39 years whenever anyone worked to overturn Roe v Wade & Doe v Bolton. We have seen what the abortion industry means by rare, opposing any limits, while encouraging women to have them.

Then there is safe. The abortion industry has plenty of reasons why legal abortions are safe & should remain legal. 1 of the top reasons you hear is that banning abortion will result in women going back to getting back alley abortions. & that means more women will die as a result.

While the truth is that the back alley was where the back entrance to the doctor's office was & that the death rate was reduced with the introduction of antibiotics, to hear the industry talk, every abortion mill is safe, clean & nothing ever goes wrong. Recent revelations like those about the NIWC abortion mill in Rockford & Kermit Gosnell among way too many others have proven that the average abortion mill doesn't even follow basic sanitary protocols that any health clinic must follow. (& showing why they oppose even minimum regulation as well.) There have also been many examples of botched abortions all across the USA. I have posted about  some of them in the past.

Jill Stanek posted the latest horror story on her blog Saturday. Actually I could say horror stories just as easily. The story you are about to read is about 2 botched abortions, at the same Birmingham AL abortion mill, on the same day. & what until you see the conditions of the place that once again show the real reasons why the industry is so opposed to regulations. It sure isn't about a woman's health or safety or even ready access to an abortion (a bit of irony as you wil see). It is about letting the industry make as much money as possible with as little expense & total disregard for the safety or health of women. 

Two botched abortions; no gurney access

Today pro-lifers gathered to commemorate the tragic anniversary of Roe v. Wade at the New Woman All Women abortion mill in Birmingham, Alabama, witnessed not one but two ambulance calls for botched abortions.

As if the botches weren’t dangerous enough, the abortion mill could not accommodate a gurney, forcing responders to carry the first victim out…

and bring the second victim out in a wheelchair…

Abortion proponents fight common sense abortion clinic regulations that for one thing force shoddy clinics to ensure entrances, doorways, and halls are wide enough to fit a gurney in the event of an emergency. The other side claims regulations are unnecessary.

Well, guess what? They’re necessary.

And guess what else? This mill is a dump. Surprise, surprise.

Pro-lifers pray that although their babies are dead, the moms will be ok.

Jill Stanek Raises an Excellent Question @ Her Blog

That question is "Will the day come when politicians covering up for the abortion industry face Nuremburg-like trials?"  It turns out that there is a twist to the recent arraignment of abortionist  Steven Brigham Maryland on 10 counts of first- and second-degree murder in the deaths of viable preborn babies who were among 36 discovered in a freezer in Brigham’s Elkton, Maryland, mill.
As you will see from the post below, what happenned in Kansas with Kathleen Sibelius & her cronies in helping cover up for Planned Parenthood has a horrible parallel in New York with Elliot Spitzer & the Albany Democratic machine. 
Let's see now, Democratic Kansas Governor  Sibelius & her fellow Dems in her administration worked to cover up  crimes committed by George Tiller & Planned Parenthood to the point of shredding documents. The crimes included  covering up child rape as well as performing illegal partial-birth & late-term abortions.  
Now it looks like Spitzer went down the same route & helped to cover up the murder of  17 babies 15 years ago when investigators discovered 17 late-term frozen aborted babies in one of his New York mills. Rather than doing the right thing & enforce the law, at the behest of the Albany Democratic machine, including a judge who had ties to the Colonie clinic’s landlord he opted to do nothing. Spitzer claims they pressured him. Something tells me that they didn't have to twist his arm too hard. 
To be fair, when the investigation of Brigham in New York began, it was under Republican AG  Dennis C. Vacco & Republican Pro-abort Governor George Pataki. Spitzer took over as AG on 1 Jan 1999. Given that it often takes 2-3 years for an investigation of this sort to go forward to the point of an arrest/arraignment, it is probable that Vacco was keeping the investigation going. He had to, otherwise Spitzer wouldn't have stopped the investigation.
I am disgusted by this latest corrupt bargain between the Democratic party & the abortion industry. Sadly, I am not at all that surprized. Again, to be fair, there are many pro-abort Republicans who have done what they can to aid the abortion industry as well
Now as to the question Jill asks. Will they face Nuremburg-like trials? Probably not. At least in the forseeable future. Does Sibelius, Spitzer, et al deserve to be tried? YES!!!!!!!!!!!!! Their actions are clearly aiding & abetting in the comitment of murder under state law of the time as well as in Sibelius & cronies, rape. Who knows what else will come out that Spitzer helped bury?
As for Obama, at this point there is no evidence he directly helped to cover up crimes. But he did reward Sibelius for her pro-abort actions as Kansas' Governor. You can be sure part of the reason Planned parenthood supported her nomination has to do with the destruction of the documents. So, he does have some share in the guilt as well.
Something tells me this is just the tip of the iceberg. Remember Kermit Gosnell in Pennsylvania. It was under Gov. Tom Ridge, a Republican, that the Health Department investigations of clinics like Gosnell's were discontinued in 1993. Attorneys under the administration of  Ridge "interpreted the same regulations that had permitted annual inspections for years to no longer authorize those inspections." Until recently, only inspections triggered by complaints were authorized. Given that Ridge is pro-abort, this is not surprizing. Like I said, while over all, the rank & file as well as a huge number of the politicians in the Republican party are Pro-life, there is a segment that is just as dirty as the Dems when it comes to corrupt alliances with the abortion industry.
But I suspect that most of the future scandals will involve Dems. Regardless of the party, somewhere down the road, justice demands these politicians/elected officials be tried for their roles in aiding the evils done by the abortion industry to be covered up. They have helped the abortion industry to break a multitude of laws with little or no consequences. Tried, found guilty & made to pay the price.
    

Will the day come when politicians covering up for the abortion industry face Nuremburg-like trials?

TimesUnion.com published a shocking story January 5 alleging that the New York Democrat machine, including Attorney General Eliot Spitzer, gave late-term abortionist Steven Brigham a pass 15 years ago when investigators discovered 17 late-term frozen aborted babies in one of his New York mills.

Brigham was arraigned in Maryland yesterday morning on 10 counts of first- and second-degree murder in the deaths of viable preborn babies who were among 36 discovered in a freezer in Brigham’s Elkton, Maryland, mill.

But these weren’t the first bodies discovered by authorities in one of Brigham’s clinics. According to TimesUnion.com:

A New Jersey doctor charged with murder last week for performing several late-term abortions in Maryland had once operated an abortion clinic in Albany County at which state investigators discovered 17 frozen fetuses in 1996.
The discovery was part of a broader investigation by the New York attorney general’s office, which declined to pursue criminal charges related to allegations that late-term abortions, in violation of New York’s fetal homicide law, were being performed at the Colonie clinic then owned by Dr. Steven Chase Brigham.

Why weren’t murder charges brought against Brigham? The assistant attorney general at the time told TimesUnion.com “he encountered political pressure against the investigation from the Albany Democratic machine, including a judge who had ties to the Colonie clinic’s landlord.”

Someday a horrifying book will be written on just how far local, state, and federal Democrats went to cover malpractice, negligence, corruption, fraud, and murder on behalf of the abortion industry.

Thankfully, it appears that with the exposure of the industry’s most heinous crimes, the collusion between Democrats and the abortion industry is beginning to collapse.

The collapse will be linked back to revelations that former Kansas Governor Kathleen Sebelius covered up crimes committed by George Tiller and Planned Parenthood to the point of shredding documents.

Blogger Rusty Weiss at BigGovernmentcom asked, “Could hindering an investigation of Dr. Brigham make Democrats in Albany an accessory to murder?”

I wonder.

Can you foresee a day when Democrats like Sebelius, Spitzer, and even Barack Obama are brought to justice in a fashion similar to the Nuremberg Trials, when Nazi collaborators were prosecuted?

If They Care About Abortions Being Safe, Why the Varience?

The city officials are right. This is a dangerous situation for the woman who will have a botched abortion. & it will happen. That is a given. This just shows once again that the abortion industry doesn't care about the safety of women, just getting rich off of killing unborn babies. They claim they are simply providing health services. Yet they fight every regulation that a real health clinic has to meet. Why, because it would cost them & cut into their profits. Blood Money is exactly how to describe the profits they make.

Also, it is apparent that the Ohio Dept of Health didn't learn a thing from the recent Kermit Gosnell scandal in Pennsylvania. They are just as willing to look the other way when it comes to abortion regulation as they were in Penn. & you can be sure the results will be just as horrible.

Ohio city officials say abortionist presents a danger to the public

Sharonville, Ohio, June 2, 2011 (LifeSiteNews.com) – City officials in Sharonville, Ohio, are asking the Ohio Department of Health (ODH) to reconsider a waiver/variance issued to late-term abortionist Martin Haskell. The variance allows him to operate his Women’s Med Center abortion clinic in their town without having to comply with laws that require physicians at such facilities to maintain valid Ambulatory Transfer agreements or have admitting privileges at local qualified hospitals.
This is the second “variance” that Haskell has received from the ODH, reports Operation Rescue. The clinic web site indicates abortions are done in Sharonville up to 24 weeks, or through the sixth month of pregnancy.
“It is the belief of the Sharonville Board of Health that this waiver/variance was improperly granted and compromises the health, safety and welfare of the general public,” wrote the President of the Sharonville Board of Health Virgil G. Lovitt, II, in a letter to the Ohio Department of Health dated May 19, 2011. Lovitt also serves as the Mayor of Sharonville, a suburb of Cincinnati. The 18-point letter included 53 pages of documentation to support the Sharonville Board of Health’s findings.
“Both of Haskell’s Ohio abortion clinics have now been given permission to operate outside the law,” said Operation Rescue President Troy Newman. “The documentation submitted by Mayor Lovitt paints a dramatic picture of an abortion business that is attempting to evade compliance, buy favors, and confuse the public in such a way that it endangers women.”
In the letter, the Sharonville Health Department (SHD) expresses concerns that the variance, which was “processed in an expedited manner,” was hastily granted while Haskell’s new abortion facility was in non-compliance with state and federal laws just two weeks before an election that replaced pro-abortion Gov. Ted Strickland with pro-life Gov. John Kasich.
A timeline of the events leading to the granting of the variance raises questions about campaign contributions from Haskell totaling $3,750 to the Strickland re-election campaign. Significant movement in the variance process took place within days of significant contributions to Strickland.
The variance was needed because at least one abortionist, Neil Richard Strickland, has no hospital privileges or transfer agreement with any local hospital. Strickland’s name is listed on the signage outside Haskell’s Sharonville clinic along with Haskell and abortionist Roslyn Kade.
A fourth abortionist, Ronald Norman Yeomans, is listed as providing abortions on the “Women’s Med Consent to Medical Services” form available on the Women’s Med Center web site. However, not only does Yeomans not have a hospital transfer agreement, his Ohio medical license is currently expired. Yeomans is a Kansas City, Kansas, abortionist who is perhaps best known for training Wichita abortionist Mila Means, who has been prevented from opening an abortion clinic in Wichita due to intense public opposition.
In addition to the Sharonville location, Haskell operates two other abortion clinics, one in Dayton and one in Indianapolis, Indiana. Yeomans does have a valid Indiana medical license and is listed as an abortionist at Haskell’s Indianapolis clinic. However, the SHD has expressed concern that Yeomans could be operating at the Sharonville clinic, which would be illegal. The SHD noted that the consent form given to Ohio women bearing Yeoman’s name “appears to legally require patients to release Dr. Yeomans to perform surgical and anesthesia procedures.”
Haskell has “courtesy” privileges at the nearby Jewish Hospital and Kade has conditional privileges at Christ Hospital, based on her having a written agreement with an Ob/Gyn with privileges at that hospital. There is concern expressed by the SHD that Kade cannot treat hospital emergencies in her own standing, therefore would not be able to back up Haskell or anyone else should an emergency arise.
An October 7, 2010, inspection of Haskell’s Sharonville office indicated deficiencies in 18 categories including a lack of malpractice coverage, failure to meet requirements for the use of anesthesia and blood products, and others.
The day after the inspection Haskell made a $2,500 contribution to then-Gov. Strickland’s re-election campaign. Five days later, a memo was issued giving tentative approval for the Haskell variance. A week later, on October 21, 2010, the variance was issued, reportedly without having any evidence that the 18 discovered deficiencies had been corrected or even addressed.
The SHD also discovered numerous discrepancies in what Haskell told licensing officials and what was advertised on his web site, including conflicting names of the facility, confusion about the services provided and specialties of the “physicians.”
What late-term procedures are done at Haskell’s Sharonville clinic are also a matter of some confusion. Haskell has told the SHD that “induction” abortions, a multi-day late-term procedure, only take place in Dayton, yet the Women’s Med Center web site indicates that the facility conducts abortion up to 24 weeks and is in fact providing hotel rooms for late-term patients.
“If Haskell’s clinics cannot or will not comply with the same regulations that every other ambulatory surgical facility must meet, then he should not be allowed to continue his operations in the interest of public safety,” said Newman. “It really is as simple as that.”
The SHD has asked the Ohio Department of Health to reopen and reconsider the variance/waiver, to conduct an unannounced inspection of the Sharonville clinic, and to allow public input on the variance/waiver request, amongst other things.
Local pro-life supporters are not standing idly by. Dr. Steve Brinn, a pediatrician next door to Haskell’s Sharonville abortion clinic who strongly objects to his new neighbor, has invited a local crisis pregnancy center to use his office for counseling and to provide free ultrasounds to women considering abortion. Activists have organized a continuous pro-life presence outside the clinic every hour it is open. Some are working with the authorities to rescind the ODH variance and peacefully close the clinic through legal means. They have distributed the SHD letter and its attachments in order to help expose the violations on a larger scale.
Operation Rescue is asking the public to help hold Haskell accountable by contacting the Ohio Department of Health and asking them to rescind the variance and uphold the law as written.

I Thought Carhart Was Proud to Be a Late-Term Abortionist. . .

So why then did he lie on his application for a license to practice medicine in Maryland. On his application for a license he put down that he is Medical Director & Staff Physician of “Bellevue Health/Emergency Clinic, Inc.” located at 1002 West Mission Avenue in Bellevue, Nebraska. That address is the address of his abortion business, the Abortion and Contraception Clinic of Nebraska. Well technically, he didn't lie, but it is clear he was trying to cover up what he really does. Obviously because his track record in Nebraska as an abortionist is less than stellar. & it is clear he didn't tell all the facts about that record, clearly a lie by ommission.

This reminds of how Planned Parenthood often operates in areas where they know they aren't welcome, they will use a dummy corporation to get a permit to build a health clinic. No mention of the fact it will be used for abortions. 1 of the most egregious examples is what happenned in Aurora, IL. The PP filed for a building permit as a company called Gemini Office Development LLC to build what was being called a “medical office building.” (More here & here) Instead PP built what has been termed an “Abortion Fortress” .

Thank God for Operation Rescue & their willingness to keep an eye on things with him. It looks like he won't get away with it in Maryland like he had hoped.

Like I said, why would he want to lie if he is so proud of what he does? Plenty of reasons, the scandals involving Kermit Gosnell in Philadelphia, the fact that the abortion industry is being exposed for what it is, & especially that he knows how unwelcomed abortion really is in most places, & someone of his ilk even more so.

Late-term Abortionist Carhart Under Full Investigation By Maryland Board of Physicians

Baltimore, MD – Operation Rescue announces that late-term abortionist LeRoy Carhart is under a full investigation by the Maryland Board of Physicians based on a complaint filed by one of its staff members.
In a letter dated April 1, 2011, the Maryland Board of Physicians confirmed the investigation to Cheryl Sullenger, who filed the complaint.
On April 19, 2011, Sullenger was placed under oath and interviewed by an investigator and Board attorney concerning information she provided.
“This is a very serious complaint that is being taken very seriously by the Maryland authorities,” said Operation Rescue President Troy Newman. “If charged and convicted, Carhart could face the revocation of his medical license in Maryland.”
Allegations in the complaint include:
• Carhart misrepresented his practice on his Maryland medical license application when he indicated he was an emergency room physician and university professor. In reality, Carhart has not had an affiliation with a hospital since 1987, and was stripped of any formal duties with the University of Nebraska in the late 1990s.

• Carhart’s Maryland application omits his decades of job history as owner and abortionist at the Abortion and Contraceptive Clinic in Bellevue, Nebraska, and 12 years of employment at Women’s Health Care Services in Wichita, Kansas, where he specialized in late-term abortions.

• Carhart conducts risky late-term abortions in Maryland without hospital privileges.

• Carhart has a history of involvement in multiple botched late-term abortions during his employment in Kansas, including the third trimester death of 19-year old Christin Gilbert.

“Based on our experience with Mr. Carhart, we are convinced that he is a shady, dishonest character whose concealment of his abortion activities, lack of hospital privileges, and history of botched abortions present a danger to the public. We plan to cooperate fully with the authorities to prevent other women from suffering the same tragic fate as Ms. Gilbert,” said Newman.
Carhart also remains under criminal investigation by the Nebraska Attorney General’s office based on a complaint filed by Operation Rescue and local pro-life groups that contained several affidavits from former Carhart employees making allegations of illegal activity at his Bellevue, Nebraska, clinic.
A press conference will be held tomorrow to discuss this new investigation.

More Evidence Come Out About How Planned Parenthood & Other Abortion Mills Hide Rape, Sex Abuse

Remember a few months ago how self-righteous the National Abortion Federation got when the scandel about Kermit Gosnell broke? They claimed their inspectors were shocked at what they found & that was why they rejected him for membership. What they failed to explain was why they didn't bother to report him. Not that, as it turns out, it would have done much good. But they still should have.

As I pointed out at the time NAF didn't exactly live up to its own standards, something that was revealed back in the 90s by Life Dynamics (LD) & documented in their book Lime 5. The book also looked at Planned parenthood as well.

& while the big focus in recent years has been on Lila Rose & Live Action, Life Dynamics has continued to investigate as well. In fact they did an extensive investigation of NAF & Planned Parenthood affiliate clinics in 2002. At that time LD identified 906 U.S. facilities affiliated with either Planned Parenthood or NAF.They couldn't contact 93 of them. But they did contact the other 813.

Making the phone calls from Texas, where it is legal for one party to tape conversations without another’s knowledge, LD had an actress portraying a 13-yr-old who had been impregnated by her 22-yr-old “boyfriend”. She told clinics she needed an abortion to keep her parents from finding out they were sexually involved.

Just a reminder, adult sex with underage children is illegal in every state. Also PP & NAF clinics ARE mandated reporters. The results are sickening, an appalling 91% of all clinics contacted expressed a willingness to help cover up the statutory rape.

Until yesterday LD had only released a few select tapes. Talking to LD's Mark Crutcher about the timing, Jill Stanek asked Crutcher "why the delay in releasing the tapes?"

“We released some and not others because I didn’t want them to know everything we had,” Crutcher told her via telephone. “I was trying to get them to litigate.” He was trying to get NAF or PP to sue for slander. Had they sued, Crutcher could have gotten information from & about them through the discovery process. “But they know that and will never sue,” he said. “I’ve finally given up on the the idea.”

In many cases the tapes show how the investigator was coached by clinic employees in how to avoid detection by parents or authorities, encouraged her to conceal the boyfriend’s age, & told to her lie about names & addresses. In other calls, clinic workers reassure the girl that the facility will not report abuse. Additionally many abused the judicial bypass process in states where parental notification was required for an abortion.

“[Judicial bypass] is being automatically suggested to any underage girl who simply doesn’t want to tell her parents for any reason whatsoever or for no reason whatsoever. In the case of our caller, this was true despite the fact that she never said anything to indicate that her parents would become abusive or violent over this situation,” reported LD.

Here are a couple of examples:

“We don’t need to know how old your boyfriend is first of all because it sounds like we would have to report it,” said a clinic worker at the Planned Parenthood in San Luis Obispo, CA, when confronted with the boyfriend’s age.

“What do you mean report it? Who would you have to report it to?” the caller asked. The worker responded: “Because he’s over 18 and you’re 14. So as long as you don’t tell us, everything’s fine.”

A worker at the Potomac Family Planning Center in Rockville, MD, asked the girl, “Do you look 14?” The worker went on to admit “I hate to say this, but we don’t ask for identification, so whatever someone puts down on their age is what we go by.”

& this is only part of the story. Naturally the Main Stream Media has been ignoring this so far. & PP or NAF has not needed to respond. Hopefully some of the Pro-life Senators & Representatives will start bringing these tapes up to draw attention to the facts these tapes reveal. 1 of those facts is that what cecile richards & Planned parenthood have tried to call aberations are not, they are Standard Operating Proceedure instead.

& this is what Obama wants to keep funding over real Community Health Centers?

The main Stream Media is just as complicit at this point as well. Their willingness to give PP & NAF a pass makes them just as guilty of aiding & abetting as NAF & PP. IMHO even more so, because they are doing it not out of a lack of staff, money etc, but for purely political reasons, to protect abortion & those who provide them.

I don't know if this will be the final straw, but it should. & despite the failure of the MSM to do their job, the truth is getting out. A new poll conducted by the Polling Company & WomanTrend reveals a majority of Americans, 54 percent, oppose giving tax dollars for family planning services to organizations that perform abortions, 43 percent “strongly” oppose any federal funds going to abortion providers such as Planned Parenthood, while just 20 percent “strongly” support federal funds going to abortion businesses.

As Kellyanne Conway, the president of the Polling Company firm points out, the support for de-funding Planned Parenthood crosses lines on the abortion debate.

“Even 26 percent of pro-choice adherents rejected diverting taxpayer dollars for family planning organizations that provide abortions,” Conway said. “Some Americans may have positive attitudes toward Planned Parenthood, but may also reject the underlying premise that federal funding for family planning organizations should be fungible for abortions.”

Other information the poll found out included that women opposed funding Planned Parenthood on a 51-40 percent margin, Hispanics opposed funding 47-45 percent, blacks opposed funding 62-26 percent, independents opposed funding 52-36, while 18-34 year-old respondents opposed Planned Parenthood funding on a 54-38 percent margin.

Not surprizingly support was stronger with Democrats, but not much. Republicans opposed funding 77-20 percent while Democrats backed it on a 55-38 percent margin. Those in the 35-44 age range were the only age category to support Planned Parenthood funding.

The nationwide survey was done for the Susan B. Anthony List. The survey of 1,000 Americans aged 18+ was conducted April 7-10, 2011 at a Computer Assisted Telephone Interviewing (CATI) phone facility using live callers. The margin of error is calculated at +/- 3.1% at the 95% confidence level.

In the short run, with Obama & the Dems running the Senate, funding for PP will be difficult to cut. But even though they owe their souls to the abortion industry, that may not be enough to enable them to keep protecting the abortion industry without being kicked out by the voters. The truth is getting out & as it does, the support for funding PP will continue to drop.

On Tuesday the House approved legislation Tuesday aimed at empowering the state health department to inspect the safety & sanitary conditions of abortion clinics. It came about in part due to the Kermit Gosnell scandal & the fact that he also worked at an abortion mill in Willmington. There is just 1 huge problem, the bill doesn't mention the procedure by name. However, podiatry & dentistry were.

Even worse, the bill is not proactive. The bill doesn't require regular insepctions, just an inspection after a complaint. While this may be a step in the right direction, why not regular inspections? Although even that wasn't enforced in Pennsylvania.

But what really raises an alarm in my mind is the fact that Planned Parenthood supports the bill. They never support anything that requires them to be truly regulated. So maybe this bill doesn't quite do what its supporters claim, regulating abortion clinics to ensure they maintain certain standards.

So given everything I see, it strikes me that this bill is more cosmetic than an actual attempt to ensure the conditions at abortion mills maintain even a semblence of cleanliness.

Operation Rescue & Survivors of the Abortion Holocaust recently released an undercover investigation into the abortion industry of Texas. Here are 2 videos that explain what was found. What you will see is more evidence that abortion idustry claims that Gosnell & what uncovered at East Coast Planned Parenthood sites through the recent Live Action investigations are aberations are lies plain & simple. PP's actions & Gosnell are emblematic of the industry. Investigations proving this have been going on for a long time. Many times in this blog I have mentioned Lime 5 that was published in the 90s by Life Dynamics. that book was the 1st to document the truth about the abortion industry. & then as now, the abortion industry has either denied the facts or continued to say they were exceptions.

But over the last few weeks more & more evidence has come out showing the truth. But the abortion industry & their supporters still won't admit the truth. & they are still fighting to keep funding this evil with our tax dollars. The abortion industry cares about 1 thing, making money via murder of the unborn. It doesn't give a damn about women's health or safety. If it did, most of these true horror stories wouldn't exist. But they do. & they are more evidence of the demonic evil behind the mask the "culture of death" presents to the world. The light of truth, God's truth, is shining more & more on the things being done in the dark by the abortion industry.

As usual, the Main Stream Media is 1 of the biggest offenders in the failure to get the truth out. Fortunately we have so many other options out there to get the truth out. We need to realize however that the "culture of death" won't give up easily. They will fight back, sometimes very violently.

Meanwhile, as it did with some of the Live Action videos, YouTube has taken down 1 of Operation Rescue's videos claiming a "violation of YouTube's policy against spam, scams, and commercially deceptive content." I am willing to bet the only thing it violates is YouTube's pro-abort bias.

You Have Got to Be Kidding, This Guy Can't Be Serious

Last night after 5:30 pm Mass @ St. Mary's in E DBQ I stopped at the Locust Street Hy-Vee for supper. There was a copy of Tuesday's USA Today in the Hy-Vee's Kitchen dining area so I decided to look at it. In the 1st section I came across an opinion piece by a DeWayne Wickham about defunding Planned Parenthood entitled Pence's attack on Planned Parenthood foolish. For the 1st part it was the typical how great PP is, federal funds don't pay for abortion,denying women health care BS straight out of PP's play book.

Then I came to this: "Planned Parenthood, the nation's largest provider of sex and reproductive health care services, also counsels women on the use of abstinence and contraceptives as ways to prevent unintended pregnancies. For those women who choose to end an unintended pregnancy, it provides a safe and affordable alternative to the backroom butchery that more women might turn to if Planned Parenthood goes out of business."

1st of all, he has got to be kidding when he says PP counsels women on the use of abstinance. PP has fought & attacked any attempts at abstinance based education saying it doesn't work. So if it does come up, they are clearly counseling against it.

But it is the line about PP being an alternative to "backroom butchery" that really got me. & what until you read what he gave for an example.

"Glimpse the future?
In January, a doctor who performed abortions from his storefront office in a Philadelphia inner city neighborhood was arrested and charged with the death of a woman and seven infants. His allegedly gruesome practice thrived on poor women desperate to end pregnancies. An increasing number will end up in the clutches of such badly run abortion clinics if Pence's crippling attack on Planned Parenthood succeeds."

OK he doesn't mention Kermit Gosnell by name. But that is exactly who he is refering to. You will note that he fails to mention the real reason the place was such a shop of horrors wasn't because of "backroom butchery". What he did was right out there in the open. But he got away with it because of a failure by the state to enforce the regulations as it should. Regulations that weren't enforced because of a pro-abort mentality. These conditions & lack of enforcement of regulations, as well as fighting to prevent them from being enacted where they don't exist, is something that has been shown to be just as true at many a PP abortion mill & the abortion industry as a whole as well.

Another point he fails to mention is if PP is doing such a great job as he claims, then why are women going to places like Gosnell's in the 1st place? & there is the fact that PP is the largest abortion provider in the USA with a growing share of the market as their latest report shows. All things he conveniently leaves out, just like PP does in their talking points.

PP knows, & so does he, that

& of course he goes on to show his willingness to condone PP's racial cleasing as well. "Shortly after the Republican-dominated House passed Pence's amendment 240-185, anti-abortion billboards went up in Atlanta, Los Angeles and New York City as part of a Black History Month campaign to decry the disproportionately high number of abortions among black women. A spokesman for Life Always, the group behind the New York billboard, said the campaign was meant to discredit Planned Parenthood.
But the people who deserve to be discredited are those who would cut funding for Planned Parenthood. In doing so, they cynically undermine its efforts to reduce unintended pregnancies — a goal that should unite us, not divide us."

Again, he fails to mention the reason PP was targeted. It was because the PP he claims is working to reduce unwanted pregnancies operates a huge majority of their sites in minority areas where, when the birth control PP gives out fails, the women go back for abortions. In other words, he fails to mention that PP's efforts he are extolling are clearly a failure.

Gosenll is NOT a glimpse of the future, it is a glimpse of the present that shows the truth about PP & the abortion industry as a whole. Those trying to discredit PP are the ones doing the right thing, unless you approve of PP's racist, eugenic agenda, which apparently Mr. Wickham does.

If he was truly in favor of reducing abortions as he supposedly claims, he would be calling out for more support of crisis pregnancy centers as well. But the fact that he relies on PP's propaganda arm, the Guttmacher Institute, & talks only about "reducing unintended pregnancies" is even more evidence that all he is doing is hacking for PP & helping them to grow as the largest abortion provider out there. & it is the federal tax funds for family planning that is providing the gateway for PP to increase it's abortion business.

I won't go into his Gallup Poll comments other than to point out how he conveniently ignores many other polls to the contrary, as well as the huge factor that the growing pro-life sentiment was in last year's election results. He also conveniently fails to mention that the recent Gallup polls show more people as pro-life that pro-choice.

What a Difference 2 Years Makes

2 years ago the pro-aborts were celebrating the election of Obama & a pro-abort Congress. After all the news about Gosnell & Planned Parenthood the last couple weeks, things are definitely not so upbeat. As I have pointed out, these stories have ripped away the facade that the pro-aborts have tried to paint that they want abortion to be safe. We have seen how they are willing to throw over every semblence of safety in the name of profits. & then acting like what more & more evidence is proving is the norm, isn't.

& even after the latest scandals involving Live Action's undercover revelations all they want to do is pretend like they are aberations & funding for Planned Parenthood should continue.

They are justifying the inaction/cooperation of the PP staff with such things as an online article called Even Teen Hookers Need Abortions. Yup, PP needs to help underage prostitutes go back to work, even though what they are doing is illegal.

Then there is this. “These videos show nothing. There is no evidence that Planned Parenthood did anything wrong,” said Ari Rabin-Havt, vice president of Media Matters.“

Last Friday 27 progressive groups, lead by liberal “media watchdog” Media Matters, sent a letter to Congress that calls for politicians to protect funding for Planned Parenthood. The letter labels the hidden-camera videos as a “digital witch hunt.” These groups range from the NAACP to the Sierra Club to People for the American Way.

The letter says: “Right-wing groups are once again attempting to destroy an organization dedicated to providing crucial primary care services to Americans that need them most. Armed with heavily edited videos, countless lies and a shameless echo chamber that repeats unfounded accusations ad nauseam, they’ve now turned their sights to Planned Parenthood, which offers a range of important health and reproductive services."

Notice all the usual lies like the tapes were edited, used. & a total ignoring of any safety issues for women. just defending the only thing they give a damn about, abortion under the guise of reproductive services.

So, to repeat, we have seen over the last few weeks that the abortion industry is willing to look the other way when it comes to women's safety. They are willing to condone horrible conditions in clinics that they claim went away with the back alley abortion. They are willing to condone child abuse, using underaged girls for sex etc. So much for what they really think about women's safety & health. Dollar signs & unlimitted abortions are all they care about.

Which leads me to the other part of the safe & rare mantra. How well groups like PP & others who promote family planning have done to make abortion rare. Every push to fund family planning education that includes birth control is done in the name of reducing prgnancies & abortions. & after all these years of their supposedly "quality" sex ed to ensure that have abortions become rare. NO. But that isn't a fact they want out. & it is looking like they are getting the Obama administration & the CDC in particular to help cover that up.

Last week over at RedState Erick Erickson reported that "the Obama administration is deliberately playing “hide the ball” on nationwide abortion statistics. For apparently the first time in 40 years, the CDC’s annual “Abortion Surveillance Report” was not published, and there are “no plans” for the data to be produced at this time." Usually this report is published every November by the CDC, & was produced by the cooperative efforts of the Guttmacher Institute & statisticians at the CDC. (FYI: Given the time lag, the data actually is from 3 years previously, so the 2010 report would have looked at 2007.)

RedState was told in January by the CDC that they “will not have stats available at any time in the near future” & there “are no plans for them to come out any time soon." Then things began heating up from the 3 February story, heat that included a letter which was alleged to have been sent to HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius from Senator Tom Coburn. Coburn reportedly expressed “deep concern” at the CDC’s apparent failure to release this year’s statistics. The next day the CDC changed its story. Friday, 4 February 2011 the CDC made the claim that the data would come out in February. Later that same day the CDC said the data would be out on 25 February.

So the CDC suddenly had the stats available. But it gets better (or worse depending on which side of the story you are on). Now the latest info proves that the Obama administration was intentionally Deep Sixing the report. A group reported they had obtained an internal CDC email showing that the report was submitted for review & editing on 12 November 2010. & that the only thing left to do was schedule a publicarion date.

The irony is that the group who came out with the proof is a George Soros funded group. That group, Media Matters. Yup the same group who is leading the defense of PP & the abortion industry. Of course, Media Matters tried to spin it to sound like it wasn't an attempt by Obama to Deep Six it. (CDC Debunks Right-Wing Claim That Obama Canceled Annual Abortion Report)

The article tries to use the fact that these reports don't always come out in November as proof that there was no cancellation of the report. What it ignores is that Novemeber is the normal time the editing would take place for a report that comes out in November. It also ignores the fact that the CDC denied the stats were available let alone in a form ready for publication.

As RedState pointed out: "In other words, two weeks ago the CDC said it 'will not have stats available at any time in the near future' and there 'are no plans for them to come out any time soon.' Last week, after we documented this, the CDC reversed and said 'the population data needed to develop rate/ratio statistics was not available at the time we normally prepare the ASR' and the CDC would release it 'tentatively, in February.' The CDC also noted the MMWR’s editorial calendar is booked ‘well in advance.’ " (emphasis mine) Which is it CDC & Media Matters? How can they have had the stats for it to be ready to publish in November & then they not be available in January" Then the data is there but not developed in February when the November memo says they were?

Something tells me that there is a conspiracy between the CDC, the Obama Administration & Media Matters to spin things. They ignore the facts, like what happenned with Gosnell & PP & try to make it sound like the statements made didn't mean what they said.

Is Media Matters saying that Rhonda Smith at the CDC’s press office in Atlanta confirmation that the report has been postponed indefinitely; when she said the CDC “will not have stats available at any time in the near future” and there “are no plans for them to come out any time soon." wasn't a confirmation? Well since she never got back with a reason, in their mind yes. The reason, because an anonymous Obama administration member said that “this report is slated to run later this month, and always has been.” From no plans to always planned? Someone is lying & covering up the truth. & it definitely isn't RedState.

Also, Media Matters attacks RedState for saying the report normally comes out in Novemeber or December. Yet the CDC itself admitted November was the usual date.

I am making no assumptions about what the stats actually say. The report has always been imperfect since California, New Hampshire, & Wyoming don’t provide accurate abortion totals each year the way the other 47 states do.

I don't think Obamam was especially worried about the 2007 numbers. I just think he wanted to get rid of any data showing even an approximate number of the "rare" abortions being done. He got caught & the usual "culture of death" gang went to work spreading the spin, lies & half truths like they usually do.

The Archdiocese of Philadelphia has set into motion plans to ensure that the young victim's of mass murderer Kermit Gosnell will get some respect & dignity in death that he failed to give them when they were alive. The fact that the burials can't take place until after the trial is over serves to hilite once more how the unborn are treated differently than the rest of us. Usually murder victims are allowed to be buried after an autopsy. But these babies are seen merely as evidence by the government, not the remains of human beings that deserve to be treated with dignity.

Last week Gosnell appeared in court for a hearing about the charges he is facing. Even now the man's arrogance is absolutely beyond words. he made millions from all the murders he committed. Yet he had the temerity to ask for a public defender to represent him (Abortionist Gosnell Could Face Death Penalty, Has No Lawyer) The court naturally said no. According to Fox News he holds properties valued “in the millions,” including a nice second home in Brigantine, New Jersey valued at $900,000. Philadelphia Common Pleas Court Judge Renee Cardwell Hughes ordered him to hire an attorney for the hearing that will take place next Wednesday. The attorney he had during the grand jury hearing no longer represents him.

William J. Brennan represented Gosnell during the 10-month-long grand jury investigation told the Philadelphia Inquirer that he was hired with the understanding he would be defending Gosnell against allegations he was illegally selling medication prescriptions — not that Gosnell was engaged in violating state laws concerning abortion & killing viable babies.

Gosnell is being held without bail. His wife has been charged & is in jail because she could not post the $1 million in bail the court required.

Meanwhile the heat has also turned up on the National Abortion Federation. If you remember, they rejected him for membership based on the conditions at his abortion mill but failed to turn him it. Well, it turns out that he has connections with 2 other abortion mills that are NAF members. They are the Delta Clinic of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, which has a history of shoddy medical practices, & the Atlantic Women’s Services in Wilmington, Delaware.

The Delta Clinic of Baton Rouge is the former employer of Gosnell employee Eileen O’Neill. She was arrested last week along with Gosnell & charged with criminal violations including Theft by Deception for pretending to be a licensed physician & charging fees as such, Racketeering, Corruption, Perjury, & False Swearing. O’Neill was present during the abortion death of Karnamaya Mongar . According to the grand jury report, she lied to authorities in order to cover up the truth about Mongar’s death.

Operation Rescue reports that the American Catholic Lawyers Association was in Baton Rouge recently. They threatened to sue the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals if the Delta Clinic is not shut down.

According to the OR report "Those attorneys indicate that an internal report made by the Department of Health and Hospitals lists numerous violations at the Delta Clinic that more that warrant closure. The DHH continues to make excuses for conditions at Delta, much the same way regulators in Pennsylvania turned a blind eye to complaints about Gosnell in what the grand jury there described as a 'complete regulatory collapse.'

Delta has a long history going back at least to 1998 of violations and filthy conditions of a similar nature found at Gosnell’s 'house of horrors' in Philadelphia. Two women, Ingar Weber and Shelia Hebert, are known to have died from botched abortions they received at Delta. Attorneys threatening to sue the DHH say that not much has changed at the clinic, and it still poses a danger to the public.
Delta was accused last year by the DHH of failing to ensure the clinic had a 'quality assurance program.' The report indicated that the clinic did not provide women adequate protections for their privacy and did not monitor patients receiving sedation 'regarding their cardiac status, respiratory status and level of consciousness during the medical procedure.'”

Based on these facts you have to wonder why the NAF turned down Gosnell last year. Sounds like his clinic fit in perfectly with the type of place the NAF wantes for a member.

Gosnell was employed at the Delaware facility one day per week to do abortions. Both facilities are owned by Leroy Brinkley. Deleware does not require inspections. But Delaware Attorney General Beau Biden said his office will launch a “wide-ranging” investigation of Gosnell & probe his work at the Delaware abortion facility. The AG's staff & Delaware investigators have already met with officials from Pennsylvania to determine if any criminal acts of violations of state health & safety standards occurred in Delaware or by those associated with Gosnell in the state.

Deleware right to Life attorney James Haley Jr. said there is “probable cause” in the wide-ranging grand jury report highlighting the problems at Gosnell’s abortion center that warranted close scrutiny in Delaware. It is possible that there could be an accessory to murder charge in one of the abortion-infanticide cases. That is because Gosnell consulted with a woman in Delaware who paid Gosnell $2,500 for an abortion that was too late to be legal in Delaware. Gosnell is reported to started the abortion in Delaware, by administering drugs. Then he supposedly transported the woman to his Philadelphia abortion business.
Haley went on to note that Gosnell apparently defrauded a Delaware-based group that funds abortions for poor women by changing the address of Pennsylvania residents getting abortions to Delaware locations.

The NAF has now suspended their memberships. But you can be sure it is only because the truth came out. As I said, the real puzzle for me is why they rejected Gosnell.

These revelations also put the lie to a statement the NAF put out after the Gosnell arrest. It points out that "the Grand Jury Report states that NAF standards, 'are, in many ways, more protective of women’s safety than are the state’s [Pennsylvania] regulations.'” True, on paper they are. But in reality things are much different. That same statement claims that "NAF conducts site visits to confirm that our members, or any prospective members, are in compliance with our Guidelines, which helps ensure that women receive high-quality abortion care." Apparently they didn't look to closely at the Delta Clinic given what has come out. Or they looked the other way. We are seeing what NAF really means by "Quality Abortion Care is the Norm".

That NAF is obfuscating & misdirecting in this statement is no surprize. they do it elwehere on the website as well. On the news page they have the following:

"Federal Abortion Ban
Federal courts have ruled in favor of all three legal challenges by NAF and others to the federal abortion ban. As a result, abortion providers can continue to provide their patients with health care free from harmful government intrusion." (emphasis mine) You would think that the result was a victory & that the ban they are talking about was overturned. I guess they are hoping the people reading the story are to stupid to notice that the actual story says something completely different.

The opening line of the actual story starts out by saying "On April 18, 2007 the U.S. Supreme Court upheld a federal law banning certain abortion procedures after the first trimester." (again emphasis mine) Wait a minute, didn't the NAF claim that abortion providers could continue free from harmeful government intrusion? Well sort of. But if you go back & read it carefully, their initial statement that makes it sound like the ban was overturned is meant to mislead. Notice they talk about health care in general, not abortions when they talk about harmful government intrusion. Not quite the same thing as no ban is it? & in the end, not exactly the win the NAF wants to portray it as either.

In the story the NAF says "We are working with our members and attorneys to ensure that women continue to have access to the highest quality abortion care." Later it says "Our mission is to ensure safe, legal, and accessible abortion care to promote health and justice for women." Well, given how it wasn't until the news came out about these clinics that the NAF cut their ties, we can see that their claims are more PR spin than reality.

Archdiocese sets aside burial site for victims of Philly abortionist

PHILADELPHIA (CNS) -- For the defenseless victims of Dr. Kermit Gosnell's West Philadelphia abortion clinic, there may yet be dignity in death. The Archdiocese of Philadelphia has set aside a potential grave site in the recently opened infant section of All Souls Cemetery in West Brandywine and is now seeking contributions for a burial fund. The grand jury estimated that "hundreds" of late-term babies were born alive and killed in Gosnell's clinic then stored in jars and containers, some in a freezer. Robert Whomsley, director of the archdiocese's Catholic Cemeteries Office, said he is "prepared to receive these children and bury them in whatever way the archdiocese decides." Philadelphia Auxiliary Bishop John J. McIntyre said, "Every effort will be made to identify the babies as individuals and bury them that way. If there are body parts, we would probably bury them in a dignified manner, in one coffin." Besides providing dignity in death, Bishop McIntyre said the burial offer is "testimony to the church's respect for all human life from the moment of conception to natural death. If we can move people's hearts through this story to see the true sacredness of all human life, then we can say that these infants did not die in vain," he said. No funeral can take place until Gosnell has been tried and exhausted his appeals. Until then, the babies, and parts of infants, must be held as evidence. The process could take months or even years.

National Abortion Federation - Not So Pure As They Claim

As I mentioned in a couple of posts last week (here & here) I was not at all surprized that the National Abortion Federation didn't turn in Kermit Gosnell. I mentioned the book Lime 5 as a reason why I had the reaction I did. I knew that NAF was mentioned quite a bit in it. Chapter 3 takes a good look at them. However what is important for my purposes is the 25 NAF members mentioned in Chapters 1 & 2. (As an aside Planned Parenthood gets mentioned 8 times & the rest of the stories involve independant abortionist &/or clinics.) Chapter 1 (Safe & Legal) looks at case histories of malpractice by abortionists. Chapter 2 (The Canned Hunt) looks at rape & sexcual assauit in the abortion industry.

Like I said, the book shows the real face of the industry. The book focused mostly on the 70s & 80s because of various factors that made more recent events harder to document. But in the 15 years since the book came out, many of the cases that were just starting to work their way through the system have done so. Hopefully they will be able to do an update sometime now that more is available from the 90s & ealy part of this century.

When the book came out there was an attempt to debunk it. The article mocks Mark Crutcher for claiming that there is a huge cover-up that is "a conspiracy between the abortion industry, state and local governments, doctors, the Center for Disease Control, and of course, the ever popular villains, the media." Given what has come out in the Gosnell case about how NAF & various state & local regulators over the last 30 years did exactly that thing, it sure looks like Crutcher eas right after all. I wonder if Anne Bower who wrote the article would like to retract her attack now that there is all this evidence out there that Crutcher was right & she was wrong?

I suspect that (assuming she is still arround) that she would still deny the facts. Or, like I pointed out in the other posts, she would try & spin the facts like NAF is to cover up the truth once more.

& let's not forget all I have shown over the past few days how the media is aiding & abetting in the cover-up as well.

Of course she doesn't try & deny any of the cases in the book. she knows they are too well documented for her to do so. So she takes another tact. She tries to make it sound like he still didn't prove a thing, despite the facts.

We find her attempt to undermine him in the last paragraph where she says "Mr. Crutcher obviously thinks he has proved this assertion in the pages of Lime 5, but he is sadly deluded. If, after sending out scores of operatives researching for over two years, all he could find to indite the practice of legal abortion is contained in this book, then the real conclusion is, Mr. Crutcher has not made a mountain out of a pebble, but a grain of sand." Of course she conveniently ignores what Crutcher actually says about the case histories in the book. On page 19 he points out that the book is not all inclusive of the cases the research found. As he says "these are only a fraction of the cases we found." & she should have known that is usually how books like this deal with the research. they rarely give all the examples but include a variety of incidents that represent the entire body of them.

Sorry Anne Bower, but the facts will out. & they are proving Mark Crutcher was right all along. You tried, & failed, to make a grain of sand out of a mountain. Your article was nothing but another attempt to spin things to aid & abet in the cover-up of the real face of the abortion industry. It didn't work then. & it is working even less now.

Admitting the Truth About How the Media Covers Abortion

I 1st heard about this article in Fr. Parker's sermon at Mass last Saturday evening at St. Mary's Catholic Church in E DBQ. The theme of the sermon was respect life & he brought up Gosnell & what he did as an example of the evils of abortion. He shared 1 paragraph from the article about the media & how they are covering it. That paragraph said:

"Yet this is not an isolated incident. In fact, it is only the tip of the abortion iceberg. The media is deliberately downplaying the story for one simple reason: There are hundreds of similar abortion clinics across the country. Exposing what takes place in facilities run by the likes of Dr. Gosnell would shock voters into taking decisive action to make abortion illegal. This is why the killing of innocent unborn children is done largely away from public view. It is a creeping, hidden genocide that can continue only if the fiction of abortion being a "medical procedure" is maintained."

Fr. Parker also talked about the book Lime 5 that I have mentioned before. He made it clear that the book wasn't for everyone. He brought the book up to show Gosnell wasn't an exception, just as the article he quoted said.

Fr. Parker started out by pointing out that his sermon was part of his responsibility as a priest to proclaim what the Church taught. That included calling abortion what it was, an intrinsic evil. It also included calling us to speak out for the unborn.

I mention part of what Fr. Parker said because I feel it is important to hilite that there are some priests out there who are not pulling punches.

But my main reason is to talk about the article the quote came from. The article is a commentary by Jeffrey T. Kuhner. The fetal solution looks at the media coverage as well as as the real horror that abortion is. I recomend reading the entire article. he takes a good look at the truth about abortion, modern liberalism & its attempts to destroy modern culture.

I want to point out that he is saying what has been said by me as well as many others about how the media is aiding & abetting the abortion industry. & he pulls no punches about why they do so, telling the truth "would shock voters into taking decisive action to make abortion illegal." & that is something the liberals don't want to happen.

I will mention few other gems I found in the article, again with the recomendation you read the entire article. I have rarely seen an article by a member of the print media that takes this honest of look at his profession as well as the culture that has resulted.

Kuhner rightly calls Gosnell "the Josef Mengele of our time." Later he talks about how liberalism "champions the degradation of the individual, forging what the late Pope John Paul II called the "culture of death." Abortion, birth control and euthanasia - they are the holy trinity of the secular post-Christian left." (emphasis mine) & later he also has a very comment about how abortion clinics "constitute the "gulag archipelago" of liberalism." He doesn't let conservatives off easy either. He makes it clear conservatives "have ceded the culture to the enemy." He does so clearly to urge us on to more action. As he says at the end of the piece "Conscientious Americans must work tirelessly to end this abortion abomination."
