Please Pray: Kenya to Vote on Legalizing Abortion

The Pro-abortion forces have been pulling out the big guns to get this new constitution passed in Kenya. & the Obama Administration has been lobbying as well, despite the fact that US law forbids that. (See links at bottom for more.) As you will remember from a recent post I put up, Biden's actions in doing so got him censured by retired Bishop Gracida who labeled Biden a Catholic In Name Only. Bishop Gracida went on to call for canonical censure for Biden. In addition, as I also pointed out, the main stream media has ignored the violence against those peacefully demonstrating against the new constitution.

President Obama's father was from Kenya. & he still has family there. As I also have pointed out before, spreading abortion in Africa is all part of the racist goal to eliminate what is seen as an inferior race (Maafa 21). & Obama is aiding & abetting in this genocide.

Critical Days Ahead: Urgent Prayers for Kenya Needed

Dear Friends of Life,

HLI once again asks your prayers and fasting this week before the final vote in Kenya on a new constitution which would legalize abortion on demand in that previously abortion-free country. The vote will be next Wednesday, August 4th, and we will report next week on the outcome of the vote. Thanks to the efforts of Congressman Christopher Smith (R-NJ) we have now found out that the Obama Administration has spent at least $23 million in the effort to influence the outcome of another country's referendum. This type of political influence, since much of it has been given to openly pro-abortion groups, is prohibited by U.S. law.

Prayer
Kindly pray for the babies of Kenya before the Blessed Sacrament this week if you are able. Even if you only remember Kenya in your private intentions at the Sunday Mass this weekend you will do a great deal to help the efforts to stop this wickedness that is knocking at Kenya's door.

Pray also to the Guardian Angel of Kenya. It is a strong tradition in angelology that countries, ethnicities and natural communities of persons (even families) have guardian angels just like individuals have. I have found that prayers to guardian angels of whole countries are powerful if enough people raise their voices in intercession for their protection. This clear and present danger merits angelic protection if ever there was a need.

Fasting
If you are able to offer some sacrifice or fast from food this week for the cause of Kenya that would add a special potency to our prayer. The Lord Himself said that some demons are only driven out by "prayer and fasting," so we must trust very much in this powerful spiritual force of protection against such a demonic evil as abortion.

Where sin abounds grace abounds all the more
St. Paul said that grace actually flourishes when great sinfulness shows its ugly face. We know that one of the immediate fruits of this fight in Kenya (even before the vote) has been to shine the light of truth on the evil of abortion and to cause the reaffirmation of the basic culture of life of the Kenyan people. We pray that grace will continue to abound in this fight for the preservation of all that is sacred, not only for the Kenyan people but for the African continent which still remains largely free of abortion.

Bishop Gracida - Biden Has Crossed the Line

In fact Bishop Gracida actually labels Biden as a Catholic in Name Only in the title for his post (VICE-PRESIDENT JOSEPH BIDEN, CINO, INVITES CANONICAL CENSURE). I'm not sure exactly what the Bishop means by a "canonical censure". & I think he is being a bit overly charitable by saying that it is only now that Biden has crossed the line. But, a Bishop (even if retired) has spoken out saying the time for dialog (at least w/ Biden) is past & some sort of action has to be taken.

I will admit that I wish something stronger than this would have been said by Biden or Pelosi's Bishop a lot sooner than this statement. But Bishop Gracida has raised the stakes by saying something MUST be done. Now will a Bishop who can do something have the courage to take the next step? Even though he knows it will invite the wrath of the liberal CINO gang? Is this a sign of the future with the Bishops? Or only a small hiccup? Time will tell.

Retired Bishop: Biden's Kenya Constitution Support 'Invites Canonical Censure'

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas, June 21, 2010 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Bishop Rene Henry Gracida, Bishop Emeritus of the Catholic Diocese of Corpus Christi, has called for a canonical reprimand against U.S. Vice President Joe Biden. Biden, a Catholic, recently travelled to Kenya to lobby for the country's proposed constitution, which has been strenuously opposed by pro-life groups due to its pro-abortion language.
Biden told a crowd earlier this month that the Kenya government should adopt the new constitution in order "to allow money to flow" to Kenya from other countries.
When asked about the lobbying of U.S. pro-life groups against the document, Biden told religious leaders that the Obama administration did not share the position of such groups, and said that their activites are "one of the drawbacks of democracy."
Bishop Gracida wrote on his blog Saturday that Biden "has crossed the line as a Catholic" by supporting the document.
"Now he has taken a stand on Kenya’s proposed new constitution, a stand which is probably a violation of US law and a stand that is certainly immoral," wrote the retired bishop. "Perhaps God, who knows whether or not Biden’s brain was permanently damaged by his brain surgery, will not judge him too harshly, but the Church, which does not have that kind of knowledge should certainly speak out and reprimand him."
Then-senator Biden underwent two operations in 1988 to correct intracranial aneurysms.
Last month, three U.S. congressmen with legal oversight jurisdiction over foreign funds launched a probe to determine whether the Obama administration has violated federal law by using taxpayer money to promote the pro-abortion constitution.

Why Isn't This Being Covered by the Main Stream Media?

The answer is simple, because it goes against every bit of the MSM "culture of death" philosophy as well as their willingness to support the racist philosphy of Planned Parenthood & Marie Stopes to eliminate as many blacks as possible. It also once again proves who are the real violent ones, abortion supporters, not the Pro-lifers as the MSM tries to paint us. Note that the rally was bombed twice.

Pro-Life Anti-Constitution Rally Bombed in Kenya

June 15, 2010 (LifeSiteNews.com) - A June 13th rally organized by pro-life and religious groups in the Kenyan capital Nairobi was bombed twice, killing six people and injuring more than 100. The police have not identified any motive for the attack, and are offering a reward of half a million shillings for information leading to arrests.

“Any person with information regarding the incident is advised and requested to report to the nearest police or administrative office,” said Police Commissioner Mathew Iteere, according to Capital News.

The rally had been called to galvanize a No vote in a referendum on a new Constitution. The proposed text for that document would legalize abortion for the life and health of the mother, as well as give a legal guarantee for any other written abortion law. A referendum is due on August 4th, and the government is pushing for a Yes vote.

According to The Standard, the two blasts ripped through the crowd after the rally had ended, but while religious leaders on the podium were still offering prayers.

Organizers of the rally produced a statement after the blasts blaming the government for the event. "We indeed consider that the attack was a premeditated aggression on democracy; a cowardly act seemingly aimed at scaring Kenyans from expressing their right to oppose the proposed constitution," they said.

"Having been informed over and over that the passage of the new constitution during the referendum is a government project, we are left in no doubt that the government, either directly or indirectly, had a hand in this attack," said a statement signed by more than 10 religious leaders.

The new Constitution would also give Constitutional recognition to Islamic courts – a provision that has also been a focal point of opposition to the document

Muslims account for only about 12% of the population, with Christians accounting for over 70%.

Commentators have speculated that the likely cause for the bombings is that extremist sympathizers of the government are trying to frighten the country’s Christian religious leaders and pro-life leaders, who are the only credible opposition to the proposed Constitution. If those two groups are successfully immobilized the government would have little difficulty in getting a Yes vote.

Another less likely cause for the bomb attack is that religious anti-Christian extremists are trying to undermine opposition to the religious provisions of the new Constitution.
