Over the past couple of years I have posted about the arrest
of self-professed “first pro-choice terrorist” Theodore Shulman. For those of you who may not remember him, Shulman had threatened the lives of many Pro-life leaders including Fr. Frank Pavone, Jill Stanek, Dr. Gerard Nadal, Troy Newman,& Lila Rose. Operating under the alias Operation Counterstrike, he would leave threats on various blogs including mine.
In February of 2011 he was arrested. At the time of his arrest, Federal agents found cyanide & 2 other deadly substances in his apartment. In May of this year he pled guilty to making death threats against two high-profile pro-life leaders, against Fr. Frank Pavone of Priests for Life & Prof. Robert George of Princeton University.
He has now been sentenced to 41 months in a federal prison, three years supervised release, & a $100 fine.
As is pointed out on Jill Stanek's blog, "There has also barely a news blip on Shulman since his arrest." This is not a surprize to me any more than it is to most of those active in the Pro-life movement. The main-stream media has a tendency to ignore anything where it involves a pro-lifer being on the receiving end, while painting the whole pro-life movement as violent when some extremist does something in the name of pro-life, which the pro-life movement quickly disavows.
This attitude extends to the Obama administration who has, as I have often pointed out, declared pro-lifers to be domestic terrorists. So his buddies in the media will do what they can to ensure the true picture doesn't get out.
Meanwhile, let us also keep Mr. Shulman in our prayers that God will touch his heart & lead him to the truth so that he will repent & turn to Christ instead of hate.
