No Real Pro-Lifer Is Surprized by This, We Knew It Before the Election

But now there is the hard evidence to show it. Each day it is getting harder & harder for Catholics like Kmiec to spin their claims about Obama reducing abortions. Yet, they continue. Partly because they are being aided & abetted by the Main Stream Media who is using them (willingly in most situations) to try & destroy the Catholic Church.

Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) -- President Barack Obama hasn't yet spent a full two months on the job but he's already promoted and paid for abortions overseas, stacked the White House with abortion advocates and is overturning protections for medical personnel who don't want to be involved in abortions.
Leading pro-life advocates say that
Obama's initial pro-abortion record proves he's not really interested in reducing abortions.
They say the common ground language Obama used during the campaign was disingenuous and is now a "trap" for pro-life voters.
Congressmen Chris Smith from New Jersey, long considered the top pro-life lawmaker on Capitol Hill talked about this with CBN News.
Asked how Obama could prove he really wants to lower the number of abortions in the United States, Smith said he could join pro-life advocates in at least enacting minor abortion limits.
"Join us in saying no taxpayer funding for abortion. Join us in saying we're going to pass women’s right to know laws including the legislation dealing with pain that unborn children feel during the commission of an abortion," he explained.
If Obama is unwilling to keep the limits in place preventing taxpayer funding of abortions or unwilling to support legislative limits on abortion, then there is no "common ground" on abortion, Smith told CBN News.
"If he’s not going to go there then there is no common ground. What is he talking about? It is a trap," Smith explained.
"It is a false proposition that we're supposed to say ‘give more money to Planned Parenthood and that will reduce the number of abortions’. That won't happen. We will get more abortions because we will get more abortion clinics," he added.
Marjorie Dannenfelser, president of the Susan B. Anthony List, feels the same way and tells LifeNews.com Obama has compiled a clear pro-abortion record.
“The nomination of Kathleen Sebelius for Secretary of Health and Human Services is further evidence of something gone terribly wrong for those seeking consensus on the abortion issue, especially the President," she told LifeNews.com.
"He speaks of finding ‘common ground’ on abortion, but then he makes a series of decisions that comprise the biggest overreach since the 1973 Supreme Court wiped every legal protection for unborn children off the books," the pro-life women's leader said.
“There appears to be complete cognitive dissonance in the mind of President Obama on the abortion issue," Dannenfelser continued. "He seems incapable of comprehending his own words when it comes to abortion and ‘common ground.’"
"One of his first executive orders opened the floodgates of taxpayer funding for overseas abortion providers. Just last week, he announced plans to roll back regulations enacted to protect health care providers' right of conscience. The Sebelius nomination is just the latest in a growing line of pro-abortion policy decisions that are not supported by the majority of Americans," she concluded.
With virtually the entirety of his presidency left to go and promises to fund the UNFPA and embryonic stem cell research on the horizon, Obama is leaving little reason for any pro-life voter to support him in 2012.
