What Lies Ahead In An Obama Presidency

The answer is simple, STRENGTHENING THE HOLD THAT THE "CULTURE OF DEATH" HAS ON THE USA. & the results will be disasterous.

Here are some short outtakes from 2 stories about where Obama will be leading us as we head down the path of destruction that is the fruit of embracing the "culture of death". (Note: links are included to read the entire story):

Obama victory delights stem-cell researchers

Advocates of stem-cell research are counting the days until the swearing-in of President-elect Barack Obama. Although President George Bush has strictly limited stem-cell research from cell lines derived from human embryos, Obama has long favored such research and is likely to put a quick end to the federal ban that limits funding of research.

Payback Time: What Planned Parenthood Expects from Barack Obama

First of all, Barack Obama has pledged to pay for abortions with our tax dollars. According to his own web site, he is an original co-sponsor of the "Prevention First Act," which will "increase funding for family planning and comprehensive sex education that teaches both abstinence and safe sex methods. The Act will also end insurance discrimination against contraception, improve awareness about emergency contraception, and provide compassionate assistance to rape victims."

Second, Obama has also promised - in the strongest possible terms - to sign the radical Freedom of Choice Act (FOCA), which would prohibit the states from "interference with a woman's right to terminate a pregnancy prior to viability or ... after viability where termination is necessary to protect the life or health of the woman." It would also prohibit so-called "discrimination ... in the regulation or provision of benefits, facilities, services, or information." If passed, the Freedom of Choic Act would nullify any and all restrictions on abortion, from parental consent laws, to waiting periods, to informed consent provisions, and the like. All of the hard work of pro-lifers over the past three decades would be swept away.

Third, and potentially most damaging in the long run, Obama has pledged to appoint Supreme Court justices based on their friendliness to his agenda, and not their qualifications as impartial arbiters of the law. In Obama's own words, he will surely appoint people of like mind, assuring us that he wants to put "people on the bench who have enough empathy, enough feeling for what ordinary people are going through." So much for the Constitution.

Then there was the news about Obama's choice of Rahm Emanuel (D-IL) for Chief of Staff. Emanuel is another darling of NARAL (100% approval rating). Given the fact that he has a reputation for being ultra partisan, his appointment proves how hollow all the cries by the Dems the last few years saying we need to be bipartisan really were. Not that I ever believed their pleas were nothing more than an attempt to BS the public.

Emanual's record in Congress includes a vote to strike down the 2003 federal partial-birth abortion ban. He has also voted against prohibiting U.S. tax dollars from subsidizing abortions. In 2004, he voted against the Unborn Victims of Violence Act. In 2004 & again in 2006 he voted against the Marriage Protection Amendment. In 2005, He has consistantly voted against parental notification and consent laws regarding abortions for minors. Naturally he voted to protect federal funding of Planned Parenthood in 2007.

Based on past performance I suspect that any & all attempts to fight his plans will be labeled as racist if the person is white, a betrayal of your race if the person is black. Freedom of speech will greatly suffer as will freedom of religion. Orthodox Christianity will face greater persecution. & the Catholic Church in particular. & I suspect it will be those sell-called 'faithful Catholics" who will lead the charge. This last item may have 1 good fruit. More Bishops will be forced to speak up & beyond that, take needed actions against these Catholics in Name Only.

I am not saying the above to discourage us. That is what Satan wants. He wants us to be so discouraged that we will give up. Rather, I want us to be fired up. Again I say we need to start with prayer. We also need to repent for where we have fallen short. & not only our failures in the Pro-Life movement. We need to repent of any & all sin in our lives as well as for the sins against life that are occuring across the nation. We need to seek God's guidance for where to go from here. We must not & cannot let ourselves be silenced. & we must be willing to make the sacrifices needed to do so.

Remember, God doesn't expect any 1 of us to do it all. But, He does call us to do our part.

I know I sound like a broken record. I've said all the above before. & I will say it again. I need to be regularly reminded myself, so I know the rest of you do as well.

The "culture of death" thinks we are down, & maybe even thinks we can never get up again. But, if we trust in God, rely on His power & do as He tells us, we will rise up & we will build that "Culture of Life" that God desires.
