A Word to my Pro-Life Peeps
Good news!
I'm not going to sugarcoat this in an attempt to not offend anyone. Pro-choice students are dumb.
Here's the deal: My generation is an over-whelmingly pro-life one. It may not feel like it. It may not look like it. But the simple fact is that it is. Even the 'pro-choice' students out there are just misinformed kids who are closet pro-lifers. And abortion rights activists know it.
Their big beautiful tomorrow, where every girl knows the joy of a giant suction machine inserted between her legs, and every guy has a get out of fatherhood free card for the minor price of $400 a pop... that world is slowly slipping through their fingers as the youth of today just won't cooperate. Not even the 'pro-choice' ones! Here's what's happening:
Groups like Planned Parenthood and National Abortion Rights Action League have promised to mobilize a 'citizen army' to defend abortion rights and 'protect women'. They brag that this army will include both seasoned activists and "the new generation of women who have never known a world without the right to choose," according to Kate Michelman, president of NARAL.
And they're successful. Kind of.
You see, the majority of youth who conform to the pro-choice ideology of their pro-abortion professors, have no idea what being 'pro-choice' entails. And that's all the better for groups like NARAL. I mean, if their agenda rested on facts and logic they wouldn't have to resort to bullying to increase their ranks. Let's take a look at just how informed this 'pro-choice' army is:
A recent Zogby international poll asked students who label themselves as pro-choice, 'Should abortion be permitted after the fetus has a heartbeat?' And 61% responded with a firm 'No'. Considering the fact that fetal heartbeat occurs 18-21 days after conception - usually before the mother even knows that she is pregnant- and that literally every surgical abortion ends a beating heart, then this would mean that 61% of self-proclaimed 'pro-choicers' are actually, in fact, pro-life!
And that's the bad news for pro-abortion recruiters. Someone might tell their army the biological facts behind fetal development! I'm not joking people, knowledge and elementary school biology is the Achilles Heel of the abortion rights movement.
A national poll by Hamilton College found that the majority of high school seniors take a pro-life position on abortion, saying it's morally wrong, and would support legislative proposals that would limit abortions and help women find alternatives. The poll also found that the majority of pro-choice high school seniors do not believe abortions should be allowed for sociological reasons, such as when women are too poor to afford another child, or unable to have a baby at the time, or just want to fit into that dress in time for prom.
And here's the kicker. Studies from the Alan Guttmacher Institute, the research arm of Planned Parenthood, find approximately 95 percent of all abortions are done for such sociological reasons. Again we find our self-proclaimed pro-choicers adopting a stance for life in relation to the procedure of surgical abortion.
I know there is still a lot of hostility toward life activists on campuses. But to put it frankly, adamant, die hard pro-choicers - who make up the tiniest percentage of students on campuses - are obnoxious, dogmatic and bigoted individuals who want to push their political ideology on their peers. And when you hear a lot of barking from the crowd it's usually from these dogs.
It is a fact that there is an overwhelming pro-abortion bias in public schools. Women's studies classes indoctrinate students with abortion rights rhetoric, conveniently forgetting to teach 200 years of pro-life feminism. Pro-life views are belittled, dismissed and censored in schools and campuses, giving a flawed and dishonest picture of what being pro-choice really means. If the parroted rhetoric of ignorant students isn't proof enough, then the polls cited above make it fairly conclusive that the average student has no clue what they are getting into when they adopt the label of 'pro-choice'.
The anger and hostility being thrown at pro-lifers by students is born more out of confusion than it is out of genuine conviction for the abortion cause.
So NARAL has declared war with life. And they have raised their puppet army of uninformed youth. And we have discovered that the age old strategy of 'telling it like it is' brings this mighty empire to its knees. So why are pro-lifers still walking scared on campuses and pro-choicers running rampant?
Well, simply put, way too many genuine pro-life students are wimps. As shown above, polls of high schoolers and college students have heralded the arrival of an overwhelming pro-life trend. But answering 'pro-life' in a survey doesn't make you an activist. And some well meaning students who stand for life don't seem to realize that abortion isn't only a battle to fight on pro-life T-shirt day.
We are a majority! We are a powerful force to be reckoned with! Don't believe me? Just visit any pro-choice feminazi website and listen to the panic in their pleas to our generation to 'take a stand for choice'. Most of your opposition is, in fact, pro-life at heart! All you have to do is open your mouth. And the tide will keep turning in your favor. I promise.
A UCLA poll released last January showed college students' support for abortion declined from 67% to 51% in just 10 years. And each year the numbers continue to grow in favor of life. According to a recent Gallup survey, 72% of American teenagers agree that abortion is morally wrong. Only 26% find abortion morally acceptable.
You may not yet feel like the majority that the polls indicate you are becoming. But look at each success and at the (often comical) reactions of our opposition, and take a bold stand. You are not alone. And here's some wisdom from a sci-fi nerd... the underdogs with righteous causes always win in the end. Ever see Star Wars? Serenity? If you are too scared to take a bold stand, it's only because you haven't allowed yourself to become a vital part of the pro-life crew. Instead you're just the random guy in the red shirt who gets killed off every episode. (Yes, that was obscenely nerdy, but you get my point.)
Our generation isn't buying the lie that abortion is good for women, or families, or society. Our generation is able to see the truth, in spite of living our whole lives in a legal system that accepts abortion. Being born in "a world that has never been without choice", we see that we are truly survivors of the abortion holocaust. We see the pain and tears of our friends and family that have been scarred by this joke of a 'right'. And we say no more. It's time to take a bold stand on our campuses against the American holocaust - abortion.
