A: When you chose to reject their way of doing things, like selling drugs that kill the unborn.
A while ago I told of a pharmacy that refuses to sell birth control pills that was opening in Chantilly, VA. Divine Mercy Care Pharmacy (DMC) officially opened on 21 October 2008. Naturally there has been a hugh outcry from the proponants of death by chemical for the unborn in the area.
NARAL Pro-Choice Virginia has a petition drive against DMC Pharmacy on its website. Also, abortion supporters in the area have launched a boycott of the pharmacy, protesting its opening. The NARAL group has the following statement on their website: "The decision of whether to get pregnant is one that should be made by a woman -- not by other people who want to impose their beliefs on her."
I love the disigenuousness of that statement. They make it sound like DMC is the only pharmacy in town. A quick Google shows that there are 9 other pharmacies in the area besides DMC. 3 of them are within blocks of DMC. Sounds to me like no one is stopping a woman from getting birth control. She has plenty of options to chose from if she wants to get it. & they know it. The only 1 trying to impose their beliefs is NARAL. & they know it.
The problem NARAL has is DMC is giving people an alternative that they don't like. You can chose, as long as you chose to go along with the "culture of death". But if you chose life, whether it is like DMC in opting out of selling birth control or pregnancy centers like Birthright that offer choices other than abortion, then the truth comes out, it is the pro-choicers who are doing the opposing to choice, not the pro-life people. For them, choice means only chosing abortion or birth control, anything else isn't on their table.
When the alternatives for life are out there, they know that people will chose those alternatives. When the alternatives are out there & the truth is clearly presented, life wins every time. & they don't like that.
NARAL & their gang can boycott all they want. That is their free speech right. But, they had better realize the truth. They won't win. DMC will continue to be pro-life, it won't offer birth control & the "Culture of Life" will have another outpost.
I also challenge NARAL to explain why a group that is so opposed to people imposing choice are doing the very thing they claim to be opposed to!!!!
At the Blessing Ceremony with Bishop Paul S. Loverde of the Diocese of Arlington on 21 October Dr. John Bruchalski said: "Divine Mercy Care is letting the market decide rather than special interests with a social agenda whether we are worthy of your support and trust. Market forces are food for the economy and good for health care." Sounds to me that if NARAL were truly pro-choice, they would be welcoming not condemning DMC.
