STOPP: HEALTH DEPARTMENT ACKNOWLEDGES BIRTH CONTROL CAUSES ABORTION
Washington, D.C. (17 July 2008) – Reacting to news reports that the Department of Health and Human Services is considering a rule that defines abortion to include birth control, Marie Hahnenberg, project manager for Protest the Pill Day '08: The Pill Kills Babies released the following statement:“We are happy to see that this proposal recognizes that the birth control pill can kill babies in the womb and we hope that this will bring even more discussion and education on the abortifacient effects of the pill, IUD, emergency contraception and many other birth control drugs.”
“Last month, we began a national effort called The Pill Kills, which resulted in Americans across the country protesting the birth control pill by educating others on the abortifacient effects of the pill and other birth control products.”
“Because of this national effort, more women learned of the scientific fact that life begins at the moment of creation/fertilization and that the birth control pill and other birth control products thin the lining of the mother’s uterus, which results in starving the preborn baby to death.”
“We must continue to spread the truth about these deadly drugs and stop the killing of innocent children. Planned Parenthood, the largest abortion chain in the country, has been lying to women about the true nature of these drugs and that explains why it is afraid right now. The amount of panic that is being displayed by Planned Parenthood about this proposal says it all: Planned Parenthood is admitting that the pill can cause abortions.”American Life League was cofounded in 1979 by Judie Brown. It is the largest grassroots Catholic pro-life organization in the United States and is committed to the protection of all innocent human beings from the moment of creation to natural death. I have to add a comment about the AlterNet article & its disingenousness. AlterNet claims that the change is the result of the Bush Administration giving in to public opinion. WRONG!!!!
What it fails to admit is that there was a time when all the groups cited agreed. & that was before birth contro; became legal. After it did the AMA & the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists changed the definition to the 1 they hold now. Before that even they said that pregnancy began at conception, NOT implantation. The AMA et al's definition is the new 1, The HHS definition is the original 1. BUT WHY LET THE FACTS STAND IN THE WAY OF THEIR AGENDA?
& for a group that has a policy of no personal attacks or hateful comments, their comment section for this article is full of them, all attacking the pro-life people personally & even admiting that what they are saying is motivated by hate. These so called tolerant people have once again proven themselves the most intolerant, anti -ree speech, anti-truth group I have ever seen.
They know the pill kills, they know that abortion is murder. So what do they do, attack the messenger because they know they can't deny the truth of the message.
