& that is why she quit working for them.

Activist Quits Over Abortion

"DALLAS — When is a breast-cancer group offensive to women? When it supports abortion, says one breast-cancer advocate.

Eve Sanchez Silver, a two-time breast cancer survivor and Hispanic outreach director for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, found out in September that the organization provided funding to Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest abortion provider. She was stunned and disappointed to the point of resignation — from her job, that is.

“It was hard to leave people I worked with, but it was easy to separate myself from an organization that I believe is accessory to murder. It all boils down to that. I didn’t come there to assist Planned Parenthood, so I quit,” Sanchez Silver said."

The Koman Foundation says it does support abortion. While they may not do so directly, they do so indirectly. How, by funding other programs thus freeing up the money that would go to those programs to be used to promote & provide abortions. In 2007 $475,000 of Koman money went to Planned Parenthood clinics to provide mammograms and health education. As Sanchez Silver pointed out: “Money is fungible. If you put a dollar in an account, you can’t track that money."

& let us remember this is Planned Parenthood we are talking about. They are the same bunch that has regularly covered up rape & incest as well as overcharged California & the Federal government for birth control pills from the late 90s on. So it is no surprize when in December of 2001, "the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment ordered an independent audit of Planned Parenthood to see if it had effectively separated its privately funded abortion services from its cancer screening and family services in accordance with a 1999 law banning state-funded abortions" that they found out the following: "Planned Parenthood’s family-planning arm was subsidizing rent payments of the abortion provider in violation of the law."

Koman's funds ARE subsidizing abortion, & they know it. 1 of the biggest ironies of this is the fact that research has proven over & over again that abortion increases the risk of breast cancer. (Sadly, the National Cancer Institute has downplayed this evidence. But then the pro-abortion crowd downplays & denies any evidence that abortion is harmful, emotional or physical.)

Koman & many other groups will only stop supporting groups like PP & the support of embryonic stem cell research only if the see that this will dry up their funds.
