2008 Pro-Life T-Shirt Day

For the 6th year running American Life League is putting on its National Pro-Life T Shirt Day. The theme of the shirt this year (shown at right) is ABORTION - growing, growing, gone. The date for this year's event is 29 April 2008.

So, what is this all about? As ALL says on the event website: It is "a day for pro-lifers all across the country to support of the sanctity of human beings' lives by wearing pro-life shirts."

Why do it? When you do you join thousands nationwide to show "everyone that we are the majority —that we are a strong and determined voice for the babies."

"More than 3,500 babies are surgically aborted every day in America, and thousands more die by chemical abortions. We cannot just sit by and be silent. Wearing a pro-life shirt will open eyes, spark discussion, and save lives. It’s effective, easy, and something that even the meekest of persons can do to take a stand."

It is true that wearing a Pro-Life T-Shirt (sweatshirt, etc) can accomplish this any day of the year. & wearing Pro-Life apparel should never just be limited to merely this 1 day. However, when large groups do something in concert it brings much more attention to the cause. & while the media may ignore it in this case, there are still plenty of people who will notice. & that is what matters most, to get people thinking, to make them aware of what abortion really is about. It is killing a human being.

The reality of what abotrion is about is something Planned Parenthood & Catholics for a Free Choice (This name is a misnomer as you can't be a real Catholic & support abortion.) don't want people to realize. Kate Michelson (ex head of PP, current head of NARAL) & Francis Kissling (ex head of CFFC) have admitted this. They know that as more people become aware of the facts about abortion more people will oppose it.

Any Pro-life T-Shirt will work. But if you don't have 1 then you can get the 2008 shirt at the ALL Store. They sell the shirts at a special low price. The cost for this year's shirt is $6.50 each plus shipping. The sizes range from YL to XXL. & they can be worn well beyond the event date in April. I regularly wear my older shirts.

Students can wear these shirts to school, if it is a public school. The courts have ruled time after time that this is protected speech for them. (More here on dealing with harrassment, should it happen.) & while private schools can ban shirts, if it is a Catholic School that doesn't have a uniform/dress code I would suggest putting their feet to the fire, including letters to the editor, to make them allow the shirts like they should have in the 1st place. & for adults who work, during work wear a precious feet pin & switch to the shirt ASAP after work.

Groups like Planned Parenthood & the Democratic Party go on claiming that the majority of Americans support unlimited access to abortion. They know this is a lie, & the media aids & abets them in this. Events like this help to prove the truth I mentioned above, more & more people are opposing abortion every day.
