Wyoming had a Republican Caucus?

Apparently so. But from how little attention the news media paid to it, it seems like their attempts to garner some notice failed. But, they took place on Sat, 5 January. & they selected 12 of the 25 delegates who will go to the 2008 Republican Convention. This time arround Mitt Romney won. Fred Thompson & Duncan Hunter got their 1st delegates also. Wyoming has split their selection in 2 so that should their still not be a clear cut winner by May they will have an impact.
The results:
Romney, 67% - 8 delegates
Thompson, 25% - 3 delegates
Hunter, 8% - 1 delegate
Here are the current delegate totals:
Huckabee - 30
Romney - 15
Thompson - 3
Hunter - 1
Uncommitted - 3 (Iowa)
(1,191 needed to win the nomination)
Keep in mind that Wyoming broke the rules by having their caucus on Saturday. So, these delegates may not be seated. The parties have threatened to punish those who fail to follow the rules by not seating those early delegates, but it remains to be seen if they follow through on their threats.
(Added 7 Jan 2008, 1:41 AM: 1 small correction, Colorado'S Republicans held their convention on Sat, not caucuses. Also, I've seen a couple other divisions of the Iowa delegates that give 1 to Ron Paul & fewer to Huckabee & Romney.)
