Most people growing up have a 1st crush. It may be a teacher, a neighbor, a singer or a movie star. In my case it was a singer & a movie star, Doris Day.
Doris Day was
born 3 April 1924 in Cincinatti, OH. Eventually she was hired as a singer for Les Brown's Band of Renown. In 1945 she had her 1st hit single on the band's recording of Sentimental Journey. This along with Que Sera Sera (Whatever Will Be, Will Be), are my 2 most favorite songs of a multitude of favorites. But there are so many other great songs that she made into hits. She proved herself to be an excellent actress in both comedy & drama. Again with the 40 movies she made, I have too many favorites to list. She later had a couple of TV series.
Unfortunately, her personally life was filled with tragedy. But, she kept going on.
