Prolife Across America

While on my lunchbreak at work I was watching an encore presentation of last Wednesday's EWTN Live. The quest was the founder of Prolife Across America, Mary Ann Kuharski. The orginization calls themselves "The Billboard People" with good reason. A major part of their mission is to put up billboards across America. But it is much more than that, they also create TV, radio & newspaper ads. The purpose according to their mission statement is: "(T)o reach out through" these ads "to people who may not be reached in any other way. Our ads create an "Atmosphere of Life" in a "culture of death."

I have seen a few of these billboards here in DBQ. They are beautiful, simple ads that get across the message in a way keeping with the rest of their mission statement: "Totally educational, (non-profit and non-political), PROLIFE Across AMERICA is committed to bringing positive, persuasive messages offering information and alternatives - including adoption - and post abortion assistance to those in need. All ads feature our 800# Hotline for Help."

So far these billboards have appeared in 42 states. As Mary Ann Kuharski explained, they go to a state when they get to money from that state to be able to run a program in that state. A complete list of current states is on the billboard outreach page.

I know there are so many worthy pro-life groups to support & that this time of year money is tight. Not every pro-lifer can support every pro-life orginization. But each of us can make the choice of a few to help. & if we all help some of the various groups then together we help to spread the Culture of Life in America. So, if you currently don't support any pro-life groups & are looking for a group to support consider this 1 for at least part of that money. Or if you have some extra money & are looking to ad another orginization to support consider this group. Also, don't forget to pray for them as well as the many other pro-life groups whose links I have listed to the right. Please support as many of them as you can financially afford to also. & spread the word about the work they are doing. If you blog, promote them. If there is a local pro-life group support them financially as well as get involved. Help support Birthright International & other pro-life crisis pregnancy centers in your area.

Christmas Eve is 2 weeks away. The best Christmas gift you could give would be to give a donation to 1 of these groups so that another child would have the chance at life instead of being murdered by abortion. This Christmas, as a part of your giving, help give the gift of life.
