By now most of those who are regular readers of this blog know that 1 of my pet peeves is the attempts by retailers & others to pretend that the holiday season has nothing to do with
Christmas so as to be politically correct & not offend any 1. Christians, as well as many of those who are supposed to be the ones those PC moonbat
Grinches are trying to protect have begun to speak out for letting
Christmas be
Christmas. I told you the other day about the Liberty Council's Help Save Christmas Naughty & Nice List. Now I have found another group who is doing something to restore Christ to Christmas. The Catholic Shop has started Operation: Just Say "Merry Christmas" . On their website you can order
green & red wristbands that have "Just Say "Merry Christmas"" on them. They also carry the car magnets that the Knights of Columbus began selling last year that say "Keep Christ in Christmas" on them. They also carry many other items that would make great gifts. (Besides any group that carries a Perry Como Christmas CD with his version of (There's No Place Like) Home For The Holidays to help promote the true spirit of the season can't be all bad.)Here is their reason for creating the wristband: "The enemies of Christmas have succeeded in making Christians feel as if we are bad and intolerant to wish someone a "Merry Christmas". This is political correctness run amok. We have reached an all time low point in our nation's history when human sensibilities are elevated above offending Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. It is long past the time for Christians to stand firm in our faith."
OPERATION: JUST SAY MERRY CHRISTMAS is a campaign designed to encourage Christians nationwide and around the world to PROUDLY proclaim The Christ Child as the center of the Christmas Season once again.
In an effort to help turn the tide, we have created this Christmas wristband to help emphasize once again that the central focus of this season is the Birth of the Christ Child. It is our hope that by wearing the wristband you will join us to remind others that to celebrate the true meaning of this Holy Season.....
JUST SAY "MERRY CHRISTMAS!"
Sounds good to me. I've got mine ordered. Take that you Grinches!
