Noam Chomsky - Proving St. Paul Was Right in Romans 1:22
Yes, he said that the Christian Right supports a Jewish homeland because they are anti-Semitic & wants the Jews to be wiped out in Armegedon. While I don't agree with the "pre-millenial rapture" viewpoint he is refering too, I am familiar enough with it to be able to say he doesn't know what he is talking about. According to that view, the battle of Armegedon occurs to stop the Jewish people from being wiped out. & if he wasn't so arrogant he would get his facts straight before making accusations that show his hatred for Christianity. It also shows how he is willing to twist his own views to promote that hatred. In a 2004 interview with Jennifer Bleyer published in Ugly Planet, issue 2 & in Heeb Magazine he said "Now, it's a very marginal issue." He went on to say the real problem, espcially in Israel is anti-Arab racism. In fact he called it extreme. Maybe the real anti-Semite is Chomsky? Not that I am condoning any of the real mistreatment Arabs get in Israel, or that I blindly approve of everything Israel does, but maybe he better admit the fact is saying certain groups of Arabs in the Middle East want to drive the Jews into the sea isn't anti-Arab, it is simply stating the position of the PLO, Iran's president, Ahmadinejad & many, many other Arabs in the Middle East.
FYI: Chomsky is a philosopher who specializes in Linguistics. Chomsky calls himself a libertarian socialist (aka a social anarchist) & is pro-abortion.
