Oops, How Did This Happen

A humor article in The Onion about Planned Parenthood was actually more truthful about how Planned Parenthood operates than anything Planned Parenthood itself puts out.

The piece talks about a fictional Planned Parenthood abortionplex grand opening in Topeka, KS. & while the idea of killing unborn babies isn't really a proper subject for humor, the story does unwittingly reveal the reveal the real face of both Planned Parenthood & its CEO Cecille Richards.

The article has Richards saying the following: "'Although we've traditionally dedicated 97 percent of our resources to other important services such as contraception distribution, cancer screening, and STD testing, this new complex allows us to devote our full attention to what has always been our true passion: abortion,' said Richards, standing under a banner emblazoned with Planned Parenthood's new slogan, 'No Life Is Sacred.' 'And since Congress voted to retain our federal funding, it's going to be that much easier for us to maximize the number of tiny, beating hearts we stop every day."'

'The Abortionplex's high-tech machinery is capable of terminating one pregnancy every three seconds," Richards added. "That's almost a million abortions every month. We're so thrilled!'"

The satire piece calls this a reinvention of "the group's long-standing mission and values." An unintentional revelation of them is more accurate.

From start to finish, the piece shows the true face of Planned Parenthood's real agenda to kill more & more unborn children as quickly & efficiently as possible while getting rich at doing so. It also reminds us of Planned Parenthood's willingness to give underage girls abortions as well as abetting the sex trade.

I often say the best humor is grounded in truth. In this case, what is trying to be humor is actually uncovering the truth in a way that puts the real news media to shame for failing to do their job.

No, I do not approve of the lighthearted joke the piece makes of getting an abortion. On the other hand, I do approve of it showing the true face of Planned Parenthood. Unfortunately, not enough people will realize the truth behind what is supposed to be a joke.
