This Is Not A Joke

MSNBC article headline: Florida ACLU launches 'Incorporate My Uterus' website

Although it sure sounds like it is a joke, it isn't. The Florida branch of the rabidly pro-abort ACLU is serious about doing what it can to protect a woman's right to murder her unborn child.

The website they launched will issue a declaration of incorporation for women who would like one. I don't know about you, but to me it seems that rather than upholding a woman's rights this tears down a woman's inate human dignity because she is made in the image of God. It is very much dehumanizing women by treating their bodies as property. I thought this was what women's lib opposed. Now it seems the radical feminists are OK with that as long as it protects abortion. Of course we saw the truth back in the Clinton era when they gave him a pass on how he sexually used & even assaulted women because he was pro-abortion.

According to the article "Head of ACLU of Florida Howard Simon says 'The Florida Legislature - and extreme social conservatives across the country - are taking rules and regulation off of businesses and adding them to uteruses.'

Simon says that telling lawmakers that your body is a business 'is really the best way to get them to leave it alone.'"

The ACLU seems to be forgetting that pregnancy involves not just the wpman's body but the body of the unborn baby as well.

What we are actually seeing however is the real face of the ACLU. It is not about defending human rights, it is about tearing down democracy & especially about taking away the rights of Christians, all in the name of promoting abortion.

The ACLU has been at the forefront of denying people their Constitutional right to free expression of their religion in a public space. The ACLU has been attacking the Catholic Church & in particular Catholic hospitals for not providing abortions or emergency birth control. (ACLU Demands Feds Investigate Catholic Hospitals Refusing “Life-saving” Abortions) & when Bishop Olmsted took away Catholic status from a hospital that perfomred an abortion the ACLU attacked him for it. The Supreme Court recently handed the ACLU a major setback. In a 5-4 decision the Court ruled that tax credits for donations to scholarship tuition organization (STO), even if it supported private or religious education, is constitutional & does not violate the "establishment clause" of the 1st Amendment. In writing the decision, Justice Anthony Kennedy stated that the ACLU’s position treats private income “as if it were government property even if it has not come into the tax collector’s hands”. He described it as a legal concept that had “no basis in standing jurisprudence. Private bank accounts cannot be equated with the Arizona State Treasury.”

As I said at the beginning, this sounds like a joke, a SNL skit gone bad. Sadly it isn't. The ACLU is a huge part of promoting the "culture of death" these days. They may occasionally do something to actually defend civil liberties. But that is only a cover for their real agenda, to attack Christianity & Catholicism in particular as well as ensure that abortion is ensconced as the 1 acceptable sacrament out there.
