Why NARAL & Planned Parenthood Are Lying About Last Fall's Election Results

The tide is turning Pro-life. 2 articles in Wednesday's issue of USAToday look at that. (Follow links for complete stories)

State legislators battle over abortion rights
Rep. Lynn Wachtmann has supported bills that restrict abortion for all of his 26 years in the Ohio General Assembly, but he has never seen anything like this.

"Clearly the atmosphere is different than I've ever seen it," he says. "We have a strong pro-life majority in both the House and the Senate and a strong pro-life governor" —Republican John Kasich, who was elected in 2010. "Certainly," he says, "the time is right now."

Wachtmann, a Republican, is the sponsor of a bill that would ban abortions when a fetal heartbeat is audible. It passed in committee last month and is headed to the House floor.

More state bills are targeting abortion
Legislatures in more than 30 states are weighing — and in some cases passing — many fast-moving bills to restrict abortion rights in a blitz that could prompt the Supreme Court to revisit the issue.

On Tuesday, Idaho's Legislature approved a ban on most abortions after 20 weeks of pregnancy.

South Dakota Gov. Dennis Daugaard, a Republican, last month signed a bill mandating a three-day waiting period for abortions and requiring women seeking abortions to get counseling at a pregnancy help center. Arizona Republican Gov. Jan Brewer last month signed a bill making it a felony to perform or provide money for abortions sought because of the fetus's race or sex.

This article goes on to include the claim NARAL & Planned Parenthood are constantly making to deny that the elections last year were about social issues as well as the budget & economy. In this case quoting Donna Crane, policy director for NARAL Pro-Choice America.

"We are absolutely certain that this is not what Americans voted for in November 2010," Crane says. In addition to a new crop of conservative legislators, she says, 29 governors are considered "anti-choice" by her organization.

Yes it is what we voted for. & we are starting to see the results of those elections. But the pro-aborts are using their usual claims that this isn't what America wants because they can't admit the truth, despite electing the most pro-abortion president & pro-abortion Congress 2 years ago they weren't able to get all of what they wanted. & after people realized what the Dems were doing they said NO & now we are seeing the results. Now if only Congress will follow through on the National level beginning with defunding Planned Parenthood & forcing Obama to accept it like he thought we would accept his abortion laden ObamaCare after it passed.
