Just When You Think Marie Stopes Can't Sink Much Lower

2 weeks ago I did a report on a new book put out about Marie Stopes International. (MARIE STOPES INTERNATIONAL: EXPOSED) As I wrote the post I think I set a new record for the number of cautions in a post. At the time I also thought nothing they did could ever reach the low of their "Pinky Bits" video. (A video I still have not had the courage to try & look up on YouTube. Well, after reading Jill Stanek's blog, I think I have found a contender for at least tying that low.
The title of the post should be enough to tell you why I feel that way, Abortion group’s music video targets kids, advises anal sex to avoid pregnancy. It gets worse. The original 7 February Metro.co.uk article shares some of the lowlites of the video. It's caution time again folks!!!!! Stopes has hired a band called The Midnight Beast to make a video promoting their "safe sex" campaign. The video is titled "Use Ya Head (Contraception Rap)" I think you see what direction the video is taking.
As Metro.co.uk describes it "While the song’s lyrics encourage using condoms, it also includes the line: ‘One up the bum and it’s no harm done, one up the bum and you won’t be a mum.’"
It goes on to say "It features band member Stefan Abingdon simulating sex with a blow-up doll and another, Dru Wakely, finding a condom in his mouth while eating a banana.
It ends with a message warning viewers not to rely on Midnight Beast for safe sex advice, directing them to a Marie Stopes website instead
."
Fortunately 1 young viewer raised some concerns: "I take it this video is for a world without Aids?"
Marie Stopes International response in defended the video by saying it raised awareness of condoms and contraception in ‘a fun way’.
It added: ‘This tongue-in-cheek approach leads young people to a website with all the information and contact details they need to make informed lifestyle choices.'"
Fun, cute & blowing off the seriousness of AIDS.
Once again we have more proof of the lows the "culture of death'" will sink to.
