The Unraveling of Bernadin's Seamless Garment

I came across an interesting article about what Archbishop Dolan's election means at The Catholic World Report. The article is entitled Cardinal O'Connor's Revenge & was written by George Neumayr. As the article points out, in a way Dolan's election is a posthumous victory for Cardinal O'Connor over Cardinal Bernadin's seamless garment that made abortion just 1 of many issues. O'Connor wanted to ensure primacy to the abortion issue.

The article also points out something I have mentioned in a couple posts. Neumayr says: "According to the media’s telling, the “moderate” lost and the “conservative” won. But it is more accurate to say that the moderate won and the liberal lost." As I have said before, the lefties see themselves as the centrists. They aren't.

Anyway, check out the rest of the article. It serves as an excellent reminder of why the liberals have no one else but themselves to blame.

PS: I had the privledge of meeting Cardinal O'Connor a couple years before he died. In talking with him, I found him to be a very caring & concerned person, esp about the unborn as well as those who are mentally handicapped. I know he would be horrified at the fact that arround 90% of the children with Down syndrome are aborted as he had such a deep love for them. & he would be leading the fight to stop the horrific attack on them in the womb.
