About Me
- Name: Al
- Location: Dubuque, Iowa, United States
Sono Italiano-americano. I am a member of St Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church. I am an advisor to Alpha Phi Omega & College Republicans at Loras College. I am a member of the Dubuque Co. Republican Central Committee. I have been involved in the Catholic Charismatic Renewal Movement since 1974. For me the overriding issue of the day is defending the preborn & upholding their right to life. If we don't value life before birth, we devalue it after birth. Life is a gift from God. This is why I am a supporter of the work that Dubuque County Right to Life does in my area. & that is why I am politically active. Our nation's laws need to be changed to protect all from conception to natural death.

Accepting, for the moment, that Voris' thought is completely accurate...
Abp Dolan completely ignored the "day-after pill" legislation in Wisconsin until it was too late.
He completely ignored the "Catholic" Gov. Doyle's avid promotion of PP and its allies, and completely ignored the Alinsky-ite organizations funded by the local Catholic Charities drive.
At least that's what the public record tells us. What he did privately is (obviously) not available for examination.
His successor, Abp. Listecki, chose to ignore the horrific pro-abortion record of the "Catholic" Tom Barrett, the (D) candidate for Governor of Wisconsin.
Here, as in Chicago, the "Catholic" "Mafia" (D Party) is extremely strong, both politically and financially.
So I don't think that Abp. Dolan will be particularly forceful.

Abp. Dolan took over in 2002 after 15 years of Abp. Weakland. I suspect he had a few things to contend with when he arrived.
I don't know how large a staff they have in Milwaukee but I don't imagine it is much different than St. Paul-Minneapolis with about the same population. Not much.
Bishops are not supermen.
What would you expect that he could have done if he didn't have the votes?
How many other people were pressuring him to take action on other issues?
Catholics are very demanding of their leaders and don't support them at all if they fall short of expectations.
