Gee, I Thought Abortionists Wouldn't Hurt a Fly

New York, NY (LifeNews.com) -- Abortion practitioner Pierre Renelique, who lost his medical license in Florida in a controversial botched abortion-infanticide case, has attacked Fox News reporter who uncovered information showing he has moved to New York City in an attempt to set up an abortion center there.
Renelique was found guilty of medical malpractice by the Florida Board of Medicine in February and the agency revoked his license.
That came after a July 2006 incident involving baby Shanice Denise Osbourne and abortion facility staff who hid her body from officials after a botched abortion.
The local Fox News station in New York learned Renelique had moved to New York and sent reporter Arnold Diaz to interview him.
The station has since released the video of that attempted interview that shows how he is now working at the Clinton Place Medical Center in the Bronx.
Diaz is shown in the report jogging behind Renelique as the abortion practitioner denies he did anything wrong even though the reporter had the Florida disciplinary documents in hand.
At one point he turned and attacked Diaz, grabbing the microphone from his hand and slamming it into the street.
Operation Rescue president Troy Newman, who was involved in uncovering evidence in the Florida case, has followed Renelique's journey to New York.
He tells LifeNews.com that a receptionist at that clinic insists Renelique is not doing abortions there.
Newman also indicates the Florida Medical Board forwarded their revocation order to the New York authorities for similar disciplinary action, but instead the board placed Renelique on supervised probation for two years.
"The Florida Health Department got it right when it declared Renelique a danger to the public," he said. "It is unconscionable that this man is allowed to continue the practice of medicine."
According to witnesses, Sycloria Williams, 18, paid $1,200 for the abortion at the GYN Diagnostic Center abortion facility in Hialeah, outside Miami. Police say the 18-year-old had an abortion and returned the next day complaining of severe stomach pains.
Abortion facility staff told her Renelique was unavailable and Williams eventually went into labor and delivered a baby girl, Shanice.
After the birth, abortion center owner Belkis Gonzalez cut the baby's umbilical cord, stuffed the baby's body in a biohazard bag and threw Shanice away. Police eventually found the baby's body a week later after getting a tip after missing it during the first investigation of the abortion business.
During the attempted interview, Renelique told Diaz that he did not answer calls from the clinic for help when Williams was in labor because he had scheduled her for 2:00 and he insisted that he would do the abortion in his own time, not hers.
But the woman delivered the baby early, prompting Gonzalez to take the actions she did. Gonzalez has been criminally charged in that case and is awaiting trial.
Newman continued, "We demand that the New York medical board to reopen Renelique's case and immediately revoke his license. A man with this kind of temper and lack of concern for women should not be allowed to touch a patient."
AP obtained records concerning Renelique and determined that he attended medical school at University of Haiti and completed a residency in 1991 at Interfaith Medical Center in New York. The records also reveal he has paid out on five medical malpractice claims, but they did not reveal more information about those claims.Related web sites:
