Woolsey Bully

"I expect political hardball on any legislation as important as the health care bill. I just didn't expect it from the United States Council [sic] of Catholic Bishops (USCCB). Who elected them to Congress? ... [They] managed to bully members of Congress to vote for added restrictions on a perfectly legal surgical procedure." - Rep. Lynn Woolsey (D-Calif.) 1: Is she saying that only elected officials have the right to speak out or take a political stand? That is sure what it sounds like. Rep. Woolsey apparently doesn't care that her oath calls for her to uphold the Constitution, not rip it to shreds by denying people their free speech right & right to petition Congress.

2: Abortion may be legal, that doesn't make it moral, or right.

3: I think she is shocked that the Bishops have finally started to show a little spine & actually stand up for Catholic teaching. & not only that, but to call on the faithful to do their duty & speak up.

4: As for the real bullying. Woolsey is the bully. She is using the IRS to try & bully the USCCB into silence because she didn't like what they did. I can guarentee you she would be applauding them for the courage to speak up had they been on her side.
