Recycling Lemmings

While I am not opposed to recycling, I am opposed to forced recycling. In my family putting table scraps in the garden to decompose was just good old world common sense, not PC composting. But San Francisco is once again deciding they know better than you what is & isn't OK.
Last Tuesday, the Board of Supervisors voted to approve Mayor Gavin Newsom's proposal for the most comprehensive mandatory composting and recycling law in the country. The legislation calls for every residence and business in the city to have three separate color-coded bins for waste: blue for recycling, green for compost and black for trash. (S.F. OKs toughest recycling law in U.S.)
& while there are some people who will question it, I suspect that most people will go along with it until the whole program ends up just like what we see in this Penn & Teller clip from their series BullS*@% (Caution, since this is Penn & Teller & this a cable show, there is some harsh language):
