Prelude to an Invasion

I made a comment recently on a blog that down the road the USA will use the Catholic Church's teachings on abortion as a pretext to invade Vatican City. It looks like I may not be as far off as I thought. The groundwork is being laid for just such an invasion down to road.
Even more so than America, most of Europe is sold out to the "culture of death". & they do not want to hear anyone stand up & say that homosexual behavior is wrong, abortion is wrong, etc. So what do you do when a prophetic voice calls out & says you are wrong, you try & silence that voice.
& that is what is happenning right now in the European Union because of what Archbishop Celestino Migliore said recently at the UN. No they aren't planning an actual invasion, just attempting to silence the Vatican from speaking out & declaring the trurh because it isn't convinient for what they want to do. Right now, it is mainly the press that is doing the attacking.
According to LifeSite News: "The Vatican has been attacked for its defence of the natural family and of the countries in which the natural family is still recognised and protected in law. Homosexualist groups and newspaper editorials today attacked the Vatican’s representative to the United Nations, after he said that the Vatican will not support a resolution that purports to “decriminalise” homosexuality."
France has put forth the proposal & it is scheduled to be brought to the European Union later this month.
Archbishop Migliore is right to speak out. At the UN he said: “Countries that don't recognize the union between people of the same sex as marriage will be punished and pressured.” As he told the French news agency I.Media, the proposal is “sad and outrageous”. He warned that it is a form of “modern savagery that will dismantle our society from the inside out.” He went on to say: “If adopted, they would create new and implacable discriminations. “For example, states which do not recognise same-sex unions as 'matrimony' will be pilloried and made an object of pressure.”
Franco Grillini, the founder and honorary president of Arcigay, Italy’s leading homosexualist political lobby group, called the Vatican’s position “total idiocy and madness.”
Other homosexualist groups also quickly reacted with protests. ANSA news agency reported the that in Genoa about 20 activists staged a protest. They had a banner reading “The Vatican is an accomplice in our martyrdom.” The Italian Communist daily newspaper, Liberazione, called on protestors to take their grievance directly to the Vatican. The suggested that the protestors consider attending the Pope's weekly Sunday address in St Peter's Square “wearing pink, a shirt or something else.”
"An editorial in Italy’s La Stampa newspaper, however, called the Vatican’s reasoning “grotesque” and accused the Church of supporting the death penalty, which is still levied against homosexuals in some Islamic countries. La Stampa accused the Vatican of fearing a 'chain reaction in favour of legally recognised homosexual unions in countries, like Italy, where there is currently no legislation.'
Vatican spokesman, Jesuit Fr. Federico Lombardi, director of the Vatican press office, had this response: “Obviously no one wants to defend the death penalty for homosexuals, as some would insinuate.” He went on to say: “The well-known principles of respect for the fundamental rights of the person and the rejection of all unjust discrimination -- recognized clearly by the Catechism of the Catholic Church itself -- evidently exclude not only the death penalty, but all violent or discriminatory penal legislations in relation to homosexuals.
Lombardi pointed out that the real purpose of the proposal is totally different from what the attackers are claiming. Rather “it introduces a declaration of political value that could result in systems of control, according to which, every norm -- not only legal, but also related to the life of social or religious groups -- which does not place every sexual orientation on exactly the same level could be considered as contrary to respect of human rights.
& once that happenned: “This could clearly become an instrument of pressure or discrimination against those who, just to put a very clear example, consider marriage between a man and a woman to be the fundamental and original form of social life, and as such, [believe] that it should have a privileged place.”
Gabrielle Kuby, a German Catholic writer had this to say about the proposal. “Behind the facade” of equality, “lurks the general attack on the moral standards to which we owe the Western culture. Without it, neither the family nor Christianity can survive.” (Gender Mainstreaming - The Secret Revolution )
There we have it, in part this is an attack on the Church. The start is to marginalize the Church every way you can. We see that in the US with the false claim of total "seperation of church & state" means that the Church has no role in the political life of the country. We see that in Europe in many ways. This is 1 example. The recent attempt to pass an new European Constitution that ignored Christianity's role while playing up its pagan roots is another. The goal is to totally paganize society.
Once they do that, down the road there will be this 1 tiny little country called Vatican City that they will claim is an enemy of human rights (talk about rewriting history). They will say that since it is so intransigent, it deserves to be wiped out. & the attack will happen. I only offer this as a suggestion but this may very well be what Don Bosco's Vision of the 2 Columns is about.
Also, if you accept the Papal prophecies that were supposedly made by St. Malachy are authentic, you have this: "In extreme persecution, the seat of the Holy Roman Church will be occupied by Peter the Roman, who will feed the sheep through many tribulations, at the term of which the city of seven hills will be destroyed, and the formidable Judge will judge his people. The End"
I say this is a possibility, not definite because even though the Church will be attacked again & again until the end, this scenerio may not be the 1 it is refering to. The "culture of death" hasn't won this battle yet. & we can do all we can to prevent it from happenning by prayer & action.
So whether the visions refer to an actual physical battle or a series of spiritual battles, our responsibility as faithful Catholics (& all Christians as well) is to pray & do all we can to battle the "culture of death". There can be no conscientious objectors in this battle. If we don't battle for life then we are aiding & abetting the enemy.
It is a difficult battle, & there are many fronts. But remember who is in charge. God is. & we have St. Michael at the head of the Heavenly army. We are on the winning side, if we stay by Christ's side & let Him lead us. Things may look dark, but in the end we Win because Jesus won the victory by His death on the Cross & His resurrection from the dead.
