Choice of Biden Shows What Obama Really Thinks of Faithful Catholics

But, given all the Catholics in Name Only (CINOs) that he already had arround him, chosing a pro-abortion Catholic doesn't surprize me.
Before I go any further let's look at how good a Catholic Biden is. In 2005 when he was talking about another run he had this to say: "The next Republican that tells me I'm not religious I'm going to shove my rosary beads down their throat." For a guy who claims to be a good Catholic that statement rings of someone who has no real respect for his faith, let alone uses the Rosary for prayer as he should. In fact, the statement he made was blasphemy.
That aside, by chosing a pro-abort like Biden, Obama has thrown down the gauntlet. It will be interesting to see how many Bishops & priests again sidestep the issue like they did for Kerry. I suspect it will be way to many.
Randall Terry of Operation Rescue issued the following statement: "Obama jumped into political and religious quicksand by picking Biden; Catholic Bishops and voters will determine whether the Obama/Biden ticket sinks into political oblivion.
The question is: Will Catholic bishops be courageous and clear, or will they equivocate or remain aloof? If Catholic Bishops, Priests, and laity put Catholic teaching on human life the ahead of the Democrat Party, Obama is doomed.
The words of John Paul II are clear; the issue is our courage and obedience. It is our job to make Holy Noise at every level; at our Cathedrals, our parishes, in print, on the web -- boldly declaring: 'No Catholic may in good conscience vote for Obama, because of his support of child-killing.'" (Obama, Biden, Abortion, and the Catholic Church:)
Fidelis (a group of Catholic-based political, legal, research and educational organizations) , President Brian Burch had the following to say: “Barack Obama has re-opened a wound among American Catholics by picking a pro-abortion Catholic politician. The American bishops have made clear that Catholic political leaders must defend the dignity of every human person, including the unborn. Sadly, Joe Biden’s tenure in the United States Senate has been marked by steadfast support for legal abortion.
"Now everywhere Biden campaigns, we’ll have this question of whether a pro-abortion Catholic can receive Communion. Senator Biden is an unrepentant supporter of abortion in direct opposition to the Church he claims as his own. Selecting a pro-abortion Catholic is a slap in the face to Catholic voters."
Burch went on to say: "The American bishops have instructed Catholic voters to consider many issues, but have characterized the defense of human life as ‘foundational’ and have explained that the issue has a special claim on the conscience of the Catholic voter. This means that a political candidate like Biden, because of his strong support for abortion rights, forfeits any claim for support despite his views on other issues like health care and the economy.
In their press release about the selection of Biden (Choice of Biden Re-Opens Catholic Wound) Fidelis shows how Biden is at odds with his own Bishop, Michael Saltarelli of Wilmington has said on the issue. "No one today would accept this statement from any public servant: 'I am personally opposed to human slavery and racism but will not impose my personal conviction in the legislative arena.' Likewise, none of us should accept this statement from any public servant: 'I am personally opposed to abortion but will not impose my personal conviction in the legislative arena.'"
"The promotion of abortion by any Catholic is a grave and serious matter. Objectively, according to the constant teaching of the Scriptures and the Church, it would be more spiritually beneficial for such a person to refrain from receiving the Body and Blood of Christ. I ask Catholics in this position to have the integrity to respect the Eucharist, Catholic teaching and the Catholic faithful."
Bishop Saltarelli reached retirement age earlier this year. W. Francis Malooly will be installed next month as the new bishop of the diocese. No clues as to how he will deal with Biden.
Biden & the rest of the CINO pro-aborts will have to stand before God & answer for their crimes against humanity. I pray they repent before it is too late. Otherwise they will have the blood of the 3200+ a day victims of abortion who will all stand in witness against them.

Al, first, this is the first time I have been to your site. It is awesome. You are a great defender of life! I have added this site to my blog.

Second, Biden is the best choice because it provides for a clear differentiator. A vote for Obama even more clearly indicates a vote for the Culture of Death. Now he has stepped it up by gaining the cooperation of the Great Life Defender's own sheep.

It gives me a clear conversation point for all my mindless aquaintences who think they are Catholic but are voting for Obama and now Biden.

Keep up the great voice for life you provide a great service!
