Peter Boyle died today at aged 71. Most younger people will remember him as Ray Barone's dad, Frank, on Everybody Loves Raymond. But his career goes way back to the 60s. I remeber his breakthrough role in Joe. But to me his real breakthrough was the Monster in Young Frankenstein ("That's Fronkensteen!"). He was also in such classics as F.I.S.T. (which was filmed here in DBQ), some not so classics as Where the Buffalo Roam, & the hilarious Johnny Dangerously in which he played the nice guy mobster Jocko Dundee.
Here are a couple of his greatest scenes from Young Frankenstein. Thanks for all the laughs. You will be missed.
& here is the theme song from Johnny Dangerously, This is the Life written & sung by Weird Al Yankovic. (Quality not always the best.)
