Iowa 1st District Congressional Race

Even after all these yrs of political involvement & seeing many presidential candidates come through the area it still amazes me to see the national attention we garner. & to see the importance of our state recognized.

1 of the races that is getting the media eye this yr is the 1st District race to elect a successor to Jim Nussle. The choice is between Mike Whalen who is pro-life & Bruce Braley, a trial lawyer who gives trial lawyers a bad name & strongly pro-abortion. It is a very important race. But, I hadn't realized just how important until faithmouse did 2 cartoons about the campaign.

The 1st is about Mike Whalen (R) the Pro-life candidate, & a friend of mine. If I read it right it is a fun dig at those animal rights moonbats that are out there.

The 2nd catches the truth, sadly, about what Bruce Braley is really about, lawsuits for the most ridiculous reasons. (Thank God political speech is protected or I'm sure he would try & sue me for slander & libel.) Braley is pro-abortion, pro-fetal/embryonic stem cell research.
