Interesting Qoute - Charles Carroll

"On the mercy of my Redeemer I rely for salvation and on his merit, not on the works I have done in obedience to his precepts."
Charles Carroll in a letter dated 27 September 1825
I came accross this quote while reading abook about the original intent of the US Constitution. The author is Charles Carroll of Carrollton. He was 1 of the signers of the Declaration of Independence. He was a cousin of John Carroll, the 1st US Bishop & Archbishop. Charles Carroll was the last surviving signer of the Declaration, dying 14 November 1832 at age 96.
