Tu Scendi Dalle Stelle

Buon Natale!

Once again it is time for my annual post featuring my favorite Italiano Christmas carol.  Tu Scendi Dalle Stelle was written by St Alfonso de' Ligouri, Doctor of the Church.

As usual, I start out with a slightly humorous version, the one that started this annual post in the 1st place:

At  the end of the Mass Duriing the Night (Midnight Mass) the hymn that has been sung has been Tu Scendi Dalle Stelle. Here it is from the last Christmas Mass said by Papa emeritus Benedetto XVI before he resigned:
