What Are You Doing Monday 14 February 2011 @ Noon?

I don't know about you, but I plan on taking part in this event:

DBQ Co. Right to Life has announced they will be taking part & issued a call for all of us in the Tri-state area to gather in front of PP's DBQ site at Noon. Since PP is now only open until 1 pm at the DBQ site, I am sure they won't be too happy to see the larger turnout for that hour to ptotest their getting tax money.

For those of you elsewhere, check with your local Pro-life group. I am sure that most sites will have a protest planned. If not consider organizing 1 yourself.

The purpose of the event is to make people aware of the recent scandals involving PP that Live Action have undercovered as well as to urge people to speak out & let their representatives in the US Congress that this is not an acceptable way to spend the tax moneys they take from us. It will also indirectly send the same message to our state legislatures as well.

As it says on the Vigil website:

We must act swiftly and take a public stand against Planned Parenthood's harmful agenda -- raising awareness in the communities where we live, and calling upon Congress to IMMEDIATELY strip the abortion chain of all tax funding.
This Monday, February 14, all people of faith and conscience are being called upon to hold one-hour "Vigils for Victims" of human trafficking during the Noon hour in the public right-of-way outside Planned Parenthood offices nationwide.
This requires rapid action, but will show Planned Parenthood -- and the media -- the power of pro-life America to bring about change!

Each protest is to take place Monday, 14 February, from Noon to 1 PM (in your time zone) in the public right of way outside of that Planned Parenthood location. This is fully in keeping with our Constitutional rights. The Thomas More Society lawyers have prepared legal letter & fact sheet to help you know your rights.

For the actual vigil they suggest people make signs that say 1 of the following 3 key messages:

1. Planned Parenthood is aiding & abetting underage sex trafficking
2. Planned Parenthood is unsafe for women and girls
3. Tell Congress: No Tax $ for Planned Parenthood

You can make your own signs using poster board & red & black markers to write these messages, or the Vigil site has images you can click on to get PDF files of each sign to have printed at a local copy shop on 24 x 36" paper or card stock. They also have a PDF Fact Sheet you can print out as well.

Remember, this is meant to be a peaceful & PRAYERFUL protest. Again, the Vigil site has the full details on how to organize a protest if there isn't 1 already organized as well as full details about what to do.

Together, we really can make a difference! Let's act quickly to make sure Planned Parenthood is held fully accountable for its willingness to aid and abet underage sex trafficking, and let's tell Congress that the time has come to DEFUND PLANNED PARENTHOOD!
