Say WHAT?????

Yesterday at work I got jumped on for my comments on Laura Ingraham's show about Obama's state dinner tonite for President Hu Jintao of China. The guy is clearly an Obama worshipper. It also became clear that he has no problem with China's recent attacks on the Catholic Church despite his claims to be Catholic.

But here is the topper. When I asked him the hypothethetical question about if he would approve of Hitler's being invited by Obama, he said yes. Obama might have kept Hitler from doing some of the things he did.

Yes, that is what he said. I was floored. Later, when I could start thinking straight again I began wondering, does this guy not know history? Does he not remember that the whole point of the foreign policy of British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain? The Munich Agreement that was supposed to prevent WW II & how it failed miserably because Hitler was only playing a game to gain time?

Or is it that he thinks Obama is so great that he could do what no one else was able to do or could have done to stop Hitler? Given Obama's kowtowing to our enemies I suspect his appeasement would have made Chamberlain look like a "hard a**". Obama would have handed over Austria, Poland, Czechoslovakia & the rest of Eastern Europe as well as signed on to fight with Hitler instead of trying to stop him.

I couldn't help but think of a line from The Godfather. It was the scene where Pete Clemenza was helping Mike Corleone prepare to kill Sollozzo. Clemenza told Mike how proud they were of what he did in the war. He went on to explain to Mike that these wars have to occasionally take place. & how it got rid of the bad blood. He went on to say: "You know, you gotta stop them at the beginning. Like they should have stopped Hitler at Munich, they should never let him get away with that, they was just asking for trouble."

IMHO, given Obama's track record, the state dinner tonite is the same thing, asking for trouble. In this case, the Catholic Church will be left out to dry as Chamberlain & his French allies left Eastern Europe in the same situation.

& that is only 1 example of the diaster this will probably turn out to be in the long run.
