Today is the feast of St. Hilary of Poitiers:

He is a Doctor of the Church. He battled the Arian heresy as Bishop. About 365 AD he wrote
Contra Constantium Augustum liber, in which he pronounced that lately-deceased emperor to have been the Antichrist, a rebel against God, "
a tyrant whose sole object had been to make a gift to the devil of that world for which Christ had suffered."
In a sermon on the Trinity he said: "Impart to us, then, the meaning of the words of Scripture & the light to understand it, with reverence for the doctrine & confidence in its truth. Grant that we may express what we believe. Through the prophets & apostles we know about you, the one God the Father, & the one Lord Jesus Christ. May we have the grace, in the face of heretics who deny you, to honor you as God, who is not alone, and to proclaim this as truth."
Sounds like we could use a few more Bishops like him today.
Then there is this not so saintly Hillary:

(God forgive me but i couldn't resist.)

Quite a contrast between the good Bishop and Shrillary.
