Over the Next Few Days Watch the Media Ignore the Reality of How Pro-Life America Is

While Monday* is the day that the DC March for Life will be taking place, since last weekend many local Pro-life Marches have taken place & more will take place over the weekend. Besides the DC March, there is the Walk for Life West Coast,# as well as many state & local Marches like the newly announced on in Louisiana. DBQ Co. Right to Life will hold the local March tommorrow. & Frs. Parker & Barry from St. Mary's Catholic Church in E DBQ will be leading a prayer gathering at Noon today in front of the Planned Parenthood site in DBQ. As I mentioned in a post the other day, most of these events are ignored or downplayed by the media .

To give you some ideas of the numbers the media ignores or downplays. The last few years the DC March has drawn about 200,000. In 7 years the West Coast Walk has grown to over 30,000. The Birmingham AL March last weekend had 1200. Our local March usual draws 150 to 200 or more. Yes, there is some overlap as some at the local Marches go to the National events. But most of those at the local event often can't. But irregardless of any overlap, the media ignores how far & widespread the Pro-life sentiment is here in the USA.

Like I said, the media will do all it can to downplay the Pro-life sentiment. & upplay the pro-abort side. But they will not be able to stop us from speaking up & getting our message out.

*Normally the DC March for Life takes place on January 22nd, the anniversary of Roe v Wade & Doe v Bolton. But when it falls on a weekend, as it does this year & next, it is moved to the Monday following. The reason is simple. Most of the politicians, including Congress are not arround on the weekend & their offices are closed. So the enable people to see their representatives in the House & Senate, they hold it on a day they are arround.

# The Walk for Life West Coast was 1st held in 2005. It was started because of the difficulty for many people to make it to DC. This event allows more people to let their voice be heard.
