I do NOT consider Satanism to be a religion or a spiritual belief system. A legitimate spiritual belief system involves the worship of a benevolant, higher being. Satanist worship a malevolant, lower being, therefore they don't count.

By your definition all pagan religions aren't religions either. Most of those spiritual belief systems included malevolent beings that had to be appeased.
