Tell the Iowa Board of Medicine to "Just Say No" to PP's Illegal Telemed Abortions

DBQ Co. Right to Life along with Iowans for Life & Iowa Right to Life are spearheading a drive to petition the Iowa Board of Medicine to get them to make the right decision & shut down the Telemed Abortion scheme that Planned parenthood is operating here in Iowa.

They are asking for local, state, & national pro-life & pro-family groups to sign on as co-sponsors to their letter to IBOM requesting that it prohibit telemed abortions in IA. For any group that is willing to sign on they are asking the group to send the contact person’s name, title, name of organization, & location to steven@dcrtl.org. Yes the letter currently says that the signers are Iowa groups, but as it expands they will probably rewrite that line.

Now for individuals who want to help, DCRTL has a petition on its Protest Planned Parenthood website. While the website mainly focuses on DBQ, it is aimed at letting the IBOM know there is opposition to telemed abortions being done anywhere in Iowa. So please sign the petition regardless of where you live in the USA. (Sorry, but it only set up for US residents.)

The names on the petition will submitted along with the letter to the IBOM at their 19-20 August 2010 meeting. (Note: The IBOM says that its agenda for a meeting is posted on the Board’s Website & at the Board’s office about two weeks before each regularly scheduled meeting. As of the writing of this post, they agenda for the meeting still is not posted. But it is likely that it will at least come up at this meeting.)
