Candy Cigarettes - Bad, Kiddie Condoms - OK

When I was a mere youth, I had my share of candy cigarettes, as well as a pen in the shape of a cigar & chocolate cigars as well. None of them played any effect in my smoking when I got older. Why? Because I was smart enough to know the 2 were unrelated. (FYI I was never a big smoker, just on & off in my younger years.) But the PC gang have suceeded in banning them in several countries. (Not in the USA yet, Thank God!!!!!)

But now a company in Switzerland has come out with a "kiddie condom" aimed at boys aged 12-14. I don't know what is sadder, the fact that a company has come out with a product aimed at young males or the fact that they did so because "research found that not enough 12 to 14-year-old boys were having protected sex."

Why are 12-14 year old boys even having sex in the 1st place?????? & why aren't they promoting abstinance rather than the use of condoms that only encourages more sexual activity increasing the odds of pregnancy anyway?

Even sadder is that the Swiss company sees the UK as the next logical step for expansion of their market. According to the Daily Mail article (Condoms in 'extra small' for boys age 12 set for Britain's shelves soon) a company "spokesman said the UK would be ‘top priority’ if the company expanded abroad, considering it had the highest teenage pregnancy rate in Europe."

OK, I don't have my head in the sand, I know what the kids are bombarded with on TV & in movies, music etc. But coming out with a special condom encouraging more premarital sex is not the solution. It just makes the problem worse. Basicly we are telling them it is OK to objectify a woman by having sex with her outside of marriage simply for your own pleasure.

So, if we are going to encourage 12-14 year old males to have sex & they can't buy regular cigarettes to smoke afterwards, why shouldn't they be able to have a candy cigarette instead????

This is just another example of how far down the road to the destruction of our society we have gone. It shows us how much our society has bought into the "culture of death" agenda. When I was 12 sex was the last thing on my mind. A couple years later after puberty that was different. But I was raised to treat women with respect. & I still did. Also, the girls were raised with the idea that they didn't act like porn stars either. I flip past the channels & see those "girls gone wild" ads that have young women acting more like a putana than a person who has self respect.

Parents, there are plenty of excellent resources out there to help you raise your children right. Jason & Crystalina Evert & the Pure Love Club that he founded are just 1 example. We can bemoan the problems & do nothing, or we can do all we can to provide our children with what they need to grow up right.
