On 2 Jan 2010 I put up a post about International Planned Parenthood's 2008-09 Annual Report as well as some of its goals. In that report Executive Director Gill Greer indicates IPPF will expand into new areas such as “population dynamics” and “climate change” to garner increased funding. The following quotes will show why IPPF is so gung-ho to jump on the climate change bandwagon. They know it will help to increase their bottom line. & since so much of the efforts for population control will focus on the 3rd world & minorities we have Sanger's eugenics getting a huge boost as well.
"Hence I readily encourage efforts to promote a greater sense of ecological responsibility which, as I indicated in my Encyclical Caritas in Veritate, would safeguard an authentic “human ecology” and thus forcefully reaffirm the inviolability of human life at every stage and in every condition, the dignity of the person and the unique mission of the family, where one is trained in love of neighbour and respect for nature.[29] There is a need to safeguard the human patrimony of society. This patrimony of values originates in and is part of the natural moral law, which is the foundation of respect for the human person and creation."
" On the other hand, a correct understanding of the relationship between man and the environment will not end by absolutizing nature or by considering it more important than the human person. If the Church’s magisterium expresses grave misgivings about notions of the environment inspired by ecocentrism and biocentrism, it is because such notions eliminate the difference of identity and worth between the human person and other living things. In the name of a supposedly egalitarian vision of the “dignity” of all living creatures, such notions end up abolishing the distinctiveness and superior role of human beings. They also open the way to a new pantheism tinged with neo-paganism, which would see the source of man’s salvation in nature alone, understood in purely naturalistic terms."
So here is what those pushing for new laws to deal with what they call the threat to our environment have to say in their own words (emphasis added):
Al Gore: “No goal is more crucial to healing the global environment than stabilizing human population.” And The Wasington Times reported that during an appearance before a Congressional committee in 1997, Gore warned that since “overpopulation fosters global warming”, it was necessary to “expand birth-control and abortion programs in developing countries to help reduce the environmental threat.”
Hillary Clinton: “[I]t’s rather odd to talk about climate change and what we must do to stop and prevent the ill effects without talking about population and family planning.”
Dr. Roger Short, Professor at the University of Melbourne: “Global warming is a direct result of human activity. The more people there are, the worse the global warming threat gets. So we have got to do everything we can to control human population growth.”
Diane Francis, the Editor-at-Large of the National Post: “A planetary law, such as China’s onechild policy, is the only way to reverse the disastrous global birthrate currently of one million births every four days. And yet the world’s leaders don’t even have this on their [“climate control” summit] agenda in Copenhagen. [Nothing] will work unless a China one-child policy is imposed.”
Charlie Brooks, British commentator: “The real ‘elephant at the [climate control] summit’, however, is population growth. In spite of it being the core cause of climate change, everyone is running a mile from having a serious, frank discussion on how it can be halted.”
Thomas L. Friedman, op-ed piece in the NYTimes, Sept 8, 2009: “Watching both the health care and climate/energy debates in Congress, it is hard not to draw the following conclusion: There is only one thing worse than one-party autocracy, and that is one-party democracy, which is what we have in America today. One-party autocracy certainly has its drawbacks. But when it is led by a reasonably enlightened group of people, as China is today, it can also have great advantages.”
London School of Economics, (from its August 2009 report entitled: FEWER EMITTERS, LOWER EMISSIONS, LESS COST; Recommendations): “From the cost-benefit analysis, it has been found that family planning (considered purely as a method of reducing future CO2 emissions) is more cost-effective than most low-carbon technologies. It is recommended that an optimum mix of carbonreducing methods includes family planning as one of the primary methods.”
Britain’s Optimum Population Trust suggests that the 10 metric tons of carbon emitted by a single return flight from London to Sydney could be “offset” by “enabling the avoidance of one unwanted birth in a country such as Kenya.”
Doesn't match up with what the Pope said is the right way to approach the environment, does it? In fact it sure sounds exactly like what he warned against. Remember that paganistic religions very often promoted child sacrifice to appease the nature gods. & WHAT is the goal of the climate change gang? Killing off children. Coincidence? I think not! This is all a part of the "culture of death" agenda.
I am all for good stewardship according to Catholic Church teaching. But what this bunch is pushing is anything but good stewardship. This radical environmentalism being pushed by the Climate Change gang has nothing to do with good stewardship & everything to do with what the Pope condemned. The modern population control gang & the radical environmentalism gangoverlap so much because they are all a part of the New Age "culture of death" that is satanic in origin.

What would take others pages and pages to describe, HHB16 says so succinctly in a few sentences. As you quoted from Car. Ver.:
"In the name of a supposedly egalitarian vision of the “dignity” of all living creatures, such notions end up abolishing the distinctiveness and superior role of human beings. They also open the way to a new pantheism tinged with neo-paganism, which would see the source of man’s salvation in nature alone, understood in purely naturalistic terms."
Not only is Pope Benedict holy, he is also an intellectual superforce. Thank God Almighty for our wonderful sheppard.
