Are They Kidding??????????????????

As part of a special report, "Promise Audit: Tracking Obama's Progress on Campaign Promises," National Journal examined Obama's abortion track record.
National Journal gave Obama a 33% completion rating saying that his work is unfinished because the final version of the health care bill has yet to be crafted. Still, Obama endorsed the House version of the bill before it contained an abortion funding ban and supported the Senate version which funded abortions.
National Journal writer Theresa Poulson concludes, "President Obama's reputation as an advocate for abortion rights will likely rest on health care reform, despite his progress thus far in fulfilling related campaign promises.
The article notes, however, that Obama's presidency "has not been without victories for abortion-rights advocates."
It notes how Obama overturned the Mexico City Policy just days after taking over the White House to force taxpayers to fund groups that perform and promote abortions overseas.
In addition, Obama proposed to reduce funding for abstinence-only sex education programs and his budget called for overturning the ban on abortion funding with government money in the District of Columbia.
Obama also raised funding levels for the UNFPA, which promotes abortion abroad and works hand-in-hand with the population control officials in China.
National Right to Life author and columnist Dave Andrusko takes issue with the 33 percent pro-abortion grade.
He points out that the National Journal gets it wrong when it says "After a closely fought debate over the overhaul bill, it appears Obama will be sent legislation containing language that would restrict insurance coverage for abortions."
"Huh? No wonder he's getting only 33%. (Poulson is trying to make the case that Obama has already bent" on abortion)," Andrusko says. "If he is given the opportunity, Obama would sign off on language which does precisely the opposite and then trumpet it as a 'compromise.'"
'There is a lot more she didn't discuss which Obama doubtless will promote out of conviction and to appease his pro-abortion conviction," Andrusko says.
"Poulson tries to make the case that Obama is a backslider--not even remotely true," he contends.
