Alveda King on Harry Reid
Reid has since made the public rounds asking forgiveness for private remarks made in 2008, when he referred to then-presidential candidate Barack Obama as "light-skinned" and "with no Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one," as revealed in the recently-published book "Game Change."
Dr. Alveda King indicated that the deeply pro-abortion senator’s apologies are inadequate, since they fail to address his insensitivity to the unborn.
"Senator Reid has apologized to the President for his remarks about the President's skin color and speech, but the Senator's callous insensitivity extends to more than African Americans," said Dr. King.
"Senator Reid is trying to dramatically increase the number of abortions and violate the consciences of most Americans by forcing all of us to pay for abortion on demand in the health care bill. The Senator's speech hints at a discriminatory mindset; his actions toward the unborn clearly show that he regards some people as less than human."
