Now, i don't buy into macro-evolution for a multitude of reasons, but if there was ever a reason to reconsider my thoughts it is this headline:
Men more evolved? Y chromosome study suggests yes!The article says: "A new study comparing the Y chromosomes from humans and chimpanzees, our nearest living relatives, show that they are about 30 percent different. That is far greater than the 2 percent difference between the rest of the human genetic code and that of the chimp's, according to a study appearing online Wednesday in the journal Nature."
So does that mean that males are 30% superior to females since we are more highly evolved?????
According to lead author Jennifer Hughes, No. She offers some words of caution: "Just because the Y chromosome, which determines gender, is evolving at a speedy rate it doesn't necessarily mean men themselves are more evolved."
Like I said, there are a lot of reasons why I don't buy into macro-evolution. Esp since it has been proven as conclusively as gflobal warming. But I did get a kick oput of this since a few years ago some radical feminists were getting a kick out of the prediction that the Y chromosome would eventually die out & with it men.
The reality is simple. God made us. Male & female He made us. In His image He made us. He made men & women equal, but different as we have different roles. That doesn't make either better, just different for a purpose.
