Only In New York

The other day I posted about how Milwaukee is promoting promiscuity on our dime (The City of Milwaukee is Promoting Promiscuity). What you may not know is that New York City has been doing the same thing by giving away condoms under the guise of preventing pregnancy, STDs & AIDS. Well, they have decided that they need to draw more attention to their condoms by having a contest to design the packaging for a special limited edition of NYC’s favorite prophylactic.

As it says on the contest website: "Whether you’re a famous artist or just a doodler, this is your chance to promote safer sex in New York City. We’re looking for designs that reflect the city’s diverse, distinctive culture while conveying the message that safer sex is better sex."

Of course once again we see nothing about promoting abstinance, just safer sex. Once again we are told to shut up about what accept as moral while being forced to pay for their promotion of immorality.

Do they not realize what they are admitting by the use of the term "safer sex"? Do they not realize that they are admitting that it really doesn't eliminate the risks? Are they intentionally misleading these kids (& adults) with a myth. The average person won't catch that the term "safer" is a comparative. That all it means is it reduces, if used properly, the risks. & that improper use doesn't reduce the risks at all. This is going to lull people into thinking that the risk has been eliminated when it isn't.

I suspect that if directly confronted with these questions the people in charge will say that the reason they say safer is to not lure the users into complacency, but to get them to think 1st. Yeah, right!!!!! That is just their cover & they know it. If they really wanted to stop unwanted pregnancies, STDs & AIDS they would be promoting abstinance programs. But I see nothing on the NYC Dept of Health website. If it is they have it well hidden. But they do have a full color brochure that includes every type of birth control & even discussed abotion as a valid option. Abstinance does get a 1 line mention on page 2, but nothing about where to get more info.

But don't worry. If you get pregnant or an STD they provide a referal service that includes where to get emergency contraception (an abortafacent) & reproductive health care which PP et all describes as including abortion. In fact, their 311 line will refer you for an abortion.

This is not acceptable. As I aid the other day: "It never ceases to amaze me that the pro-aborts will tell us we can't force our morality on them. The reality it isn't a matter of forcing a morality or not, it is a matter of whose morality the law will enforce. & the pro-aborts have no qualms about not only forcing their morality on use but making us pay for it as well." I will add that not only does it amaze me, it disgusts me as well.

DC is currently trying to force the Catholic Church to accept gay couples as candidates for adopting. ObamaCare does not include protection for those who object to performing abortions etc. Pharmacies that chose to not dispense birth control are attacked. In some states, pharmicists are forced to do so against their beliefs. As I said, who's forcing who's morality?

This isn't about choice either. It is about forcing us to aide & abet in their immorality. If the "culture of death" gets its way we will have no choice.

People, once again I call on us to get to our knees in prayer & repentance, esp in these days before we celebrate the birth of Jesus who came to give us life & to have it in the full. The "culture of death" wants to take it away. We must continue protesting, we must continue supporting Pro-life candidates, we must continue speaking out aginst the current proposals for health care in Congress that attack life. We must also proclaim the Gospel. We must call people to come to Jesus. Yes, we must evangelize. That is not an option. We must do all these things to the best of our ability. But we must begin & end on our knees. There are some elderly people out there who can't get out. You are called to be prayer warriors for the rest of us. This is a spiritual battle. the final outcome has already been determined by what happenned on the Cross. But we have our part to play & we can either do what God asks of us (repenting when we fall) or we can surrender & become like Judas & Benedict Arnold, traitors.
