Did She Every Realize the Irony?
Early this morning Eunice Kennedy Shriver passed away. Her biggest acheivement was the founding of the Special Olympics. I wonder if she ever saw how diametricly opposed that her work was to the support of abortion by her family, esp Teddy & the other nieces & nephews in public office. Thanks to their work to keep abortion legal about 80-90% of the Down Syndrome kids that would have been born & could have particpated in the Special Olympics were never given the chance since they were aborted. May God have mercy on her soul, but I have to wonder how she answered to all the souls murdered by abortion (esp the souls of the intellectually disabled) about her support of her family's actions.

Here here, Al. Spot on. Fr. Robert Drinan (d. 2007) was one of a few priests who convinced the Kennedy clan that it is OK to be pro-abortion and Catholic at the same time. May God have mercy on his soul as well.

Cliff, I know she did speak out against the Pro-abortion stand of the Democratic party. But she was also at Teddy's side when he announced his support of Obama.
