Obama, Either You Are Lying Or Delusional

& I tend towards the former.
Last Thursday (2 July 2009) ata meeting with several members of the Catholic media (mostly liberal supporters of his who wouldn't question his claims), President Obama insisted that pro-life Catholics' fears over the new administration's abortion agenda was "not based on anything I've said or done."
Oh yeah. How about what happenned at the UN last week. As C-Fam reports: "The Obama team has introduced language that has thrown a high level negotiation into a roil. The US proposal calls for "universal access" to "sexual and reproductive health services including universal access to family planning." The document under consideration will culminate in the 2009 Annual Ministerial Review, which convenes this week in Geneva." The article goes on to say "In recent weeks the new US administration has interpreted "reproductive health" to include abortion."
Or last April, when Secretary of State Hillary Clinton told a US House subcommittee, "We [the Obama administration] happen to think that family planning is an important part of women's health and reproductive health includes access to abortion that I believe should be safe, legal and rare."
Or all the abortion supporters you appointed (many Catholic in Name Only) to various posts including Cabinet posts. Or how about abolishing the Mexico City Policy, funding the United Nations Population Fund, unleashing federal funds for embryonic stem-cell research, and calling for taxpayer-funded abortion in Washington, D.C. ?
Oh how about at a meeting last May of the abortion "common ground" task force in which Melody Barnes, the Director of Domestic Policy Council and a former board member of Emily's List, corrected Wendy Wright, President of Concerned Women for America for stating that the administration wished to reduce abortions.

"It is not our goal to reduce the number of abortions," said Barnes, but rather only to "reduce the need for abortions."
For a more extensive list check out the LifeNews report here.
& please, no arguments that much of this is being done by his administration, not him. These people represent him & are putting into effect his policies, not their own.
As I pointed out, the overwhelming majority of the Catholic Press invited was those who support Obama & he knew wouldn't raise any questions. & all this will do is to provide his CINO supporters, including newly appointed Malta ambassaod Kmiec, with more cover. At this point he & his administration are continuing in their lockstep march with the "culture of death".
