McBrien Once More Is Working to Undermine Authentic Catholic Teaching

McBrien is at it again. He has gone on another rant attacking the upcoming visitation of women religious. & in doing so, he makes it clear that what his goal is is to undermine the authentic teaching of the Catholic Church. "Full speed ahead, so we can ensure that God will damn to Hell the souls of all those we sell our falsehoods to!" would be an appropriate motto for him, if he believed in Hell, which I suspect he doesn't believe in either.
In his latest screed on what he sees as the unfair targeting of the LCWR & the various congregations associated he says the following: "One of the most disturbing aspects of the "visitation" is the requirement that each of the visitors will be required to make a public profession of faith and an oath of fidelity to the Apostolic See.
This requirement will discourage a number of potential visitors from volunteering their services in this study, and thereby skew the visitation teams in a particular ideological direction."
How horrible, to expect someone to be willing to express fidelity to the teachings of the Magesterium. & to ensure that the fact that these groups are a hotbed of heresy isn't covered up. & as for skewed, what he really means is that it won't be skewed in favor of his particular ideological slant. That it won't be able to railroad the Vatican is what really disturbs him.
I want you to notice his infallible source for his claim these groups being investigated are faithful, when in reality they aren't: "Communities of women religious in the United States have, in the words of a June 12 editorial in the National Catholic Reporter, "faithfully carried out the mandates of the Second Vatican Council to reexamine and adapt their original charisms in the light of current challenges," embracing "real change" and forging ahead "at great effort and cost, often when many bishops and pastors held back or opposed the renewal." "
Yup, the National Catholic Reporter, that hotbed of heresy & infidelity to the Magesterium. There are days when I would like to sue the Non-Catholic Reporter for false advertising in claiming to be Catholic. What the NonCR failed to mention is that the real mandates of Vatican 2 are nothing like these so-called mandates that were promulgated by that demonic "Spirit of Vatican 2" McBrien, LCWR & the NonCR have sold their souls to.
But he doesn't stop there (no surprize!). He goes on to say: "The NCR editorial concluded: "Thus, at a time when the American church as a whole has been hurt by scandal, financial crisis, a severe priest shortage, and, some say, a serious paralysis of hierarchical leadership, the sisters' story is worth telling and celebrating.""
I guess if he means celebrating the success of their working to ensure that Hell is filled with souls that have been damned as a result of their efforts, then yes, their demonic masters are celebrating.
NonCR makes mention of the priest shortage, yet it (& McBrien) ignores the fact that there has been just as big a decline in the very groups whose story they want to celebrate.
McBrien concludes with: "The Vatican should be doing just that rather than conducting a "visitation" and a "doctrinal assessment" of one of the Church's greatest assets.
When assets are missing you do an audit to find out what happenned. & that is what that visitation is all about, getting to the truth about what happenned to what was, & in those religious congregations that are faithful, still is, 1 of the Church's greatest assets. As I said, this visitation is an attempt to get at the truth. & that is the last thing McBrien really wants, the truth.
PS: Just as an aside, it is interesting to note that none of this false "Spirit of Vatican 2" gang is up in arms about the Legoniaries of Christ visitation. Oh, yeah, that is because the Legionaries are perceived as being faithful to the Magesterium. This is neither an endorsement or criticism of the Legionaries. I am leaving the whole situation in the hands of the Vatican to deal with. It is just more evidence of the real motivation behind what McBrien, LCWR & NonCR are doing in protesting the visitation.
