# of Abortion Providers in USA Going Down

While it seems that most of the news lately has been about the carte blanche the Obama administration is giving the abortion industry, all is not the rosy picture the pro-abortion "culture of death" would paint it as.
Since this report is by a pro-abortion group, I have to wonder what they define as harassment. Do they mean, as I suspect any & all protestors legally standing outside praying quietly, carrying signs as is their right to free speech & doing sidewalk counceling? Do they include the lawsuits for malpractice, the 1 in Ohio by the family of a girl who was the victim of incest? Are they refering to all the investigations of coverups of rape, etc? The reality is that these investigations come about, not to harass the physicians or clinics, but because they ARE breaking the law & deserve to be investigated & charged & even convicted.
But by calling those investigations harassment rather than what they are, justified criminal investigations, they make the abortion industry sound like they are innocent victims, not the lawbreaking criminals they really are.

WASHINGTON, July 23 (UPI) -- Women seeking to terminate pregnancies in the United States are facing a dwindling supply of providers, an abortion rights group says.
The Center for Reproductive Rights says a study it conducted found that abortion doctors and clinics in some states, including Missouri, "are routinely targeted" for both legal and physical harassment, the Kansas City (Mo.) Star reported Thursday.
Center President Nancy Northup says the number of physicians and clinics providing abortions have fallen by 25 percent since the 1990s.
The state of Missouri has only three clinics that offer abortions, Northup says.
Some states, such as Mississippi and North Dakoka, have only one abortion provider while Alabama has seven.
Texas has about 40 clinics and doctors performing abortions while Pennsylvania counts about a dozen.
The study undertaken by the New York-based Center for Reproductive Rights was concluded before the slaying in May of Dr. George Tiller, who ran a Kansas abortion clinic.

One of the things I learned when I was in the abortion/gyn industry is, the shortage of abortion providers is a myth.

There are enough abortion providers in USA to meet the demand for their services, neither more nor fewer.

The number of providers is dropping because the demand for their services is dropping. This is because the baby-boomers are aging out of (reckless) sexuality.

When the demand rises, so will the number of providers.

So, are you saying that Abortion clionics are lying? What else is new given all the cover-ups of rape, incest, etc that they do?
