I was reading an article on
Newsbusters website that raises an interesting question. It points out how the Liberal Media is blind to its own hypocricy.
The left has been putting the blame for Tiller's death on the fact that the Pro-life movement has been accurately describing what Tiller does, kills unborn babies.
Yet "we heard this argument from the Left in April that conservatives can’t blame the violence on television and in rap music for an increase in crime while claiming the words of political commentators aren’t similarly inciting."
Let's turn this arround & ask this question: So, by saying that the statements by Pro-lifers about Tiller are responsible for Tiller's death is the media admitting that TV & rap music IS responsible for an increase in crime?
Actually, what the above shows is how the media simlifies & twists things to justify what it does while trying to silence their opponants. Fox is beating MSNBC & CNN hands down in the ratings. So, rather than face their shortcomings they try to vilify & silence their competators in any way possible.
The article points out that "Olbermann and his ilk on MSNBC and throughout the liberal blogosphere routinely referred to George W. Bush and Dick Cheney as murderers."
The article then raises a good question: "More broadly, when, if ever, do criticisms by a commentator rise to the level of advocating the murder of the target of his or her disaffection?"
It goes on to answer that question: "Olbermann believes he has the answer: “For four years, on at least 28 occasions, that is what was said on Fox News channel. Nazism, al-Qaeda, Hitler, Mao Tse Tung, Stalin, baby-killing, pedophilia, ‘Tiller the Baby Killer’ – again and again and again.”
So, in his view, and in the eyes of many on the far-left, because O’Reilly and other FNC personalities used harsh words to describe Tiller, viewers might respond violently by shooting the doctor, and the network as well as the criticizing parties would be responsible.
If this is the case, on how many occasions during Bush’s second term did Olbermann and his MSNBC colleagues make equally provocative references to the President and Vice President? Maybe 28 a week, right?
So, if someone had shot either of them, or if the assassination attempt on Cheney in Iraq two years ago had been successful, would it be fair to point fingers at Olbermann and MSNBC UNLESS murder was clearly advocated during broadcasts?"
I think we all know the answer to that Olbermann et al would say Bush & Cheney were murders because they saw them as such. But since they see the unborn as mere blobs of tissue & not human, then to say Tiller murdered them is wrong. To show pictures of what Tiller's actions did was wrong. But it is OK for them to show pictures to back up their claims.
Like I said before, the hypocricy of the liberal media reeks. They know that when the truth is put out it shows that they are biased. It shows that they are (unlike Fox) not attempting to be fair & balanced. It shows why their ratings are heading to the nether regions while Fox's are going up. & it shows exactly why they want to silence anyone who disagrees with them.
