Happy Birthday to the Original Pro-Life Feminist

Today is Susan B. Anthony's 189th birthday.

She knew that real feminism didn't include giving women access to abortion. In fact she condemned it:

"Guilty? Yes. No matter what the motive, love of ease, or a desire to save from suffering the unborn innocent, the woman is awfully guilty who commits the deed. It will burden her conscience in life, it will burden her soul in death; But oh, thrice guilty is he who drove her to the desperation which impelled her to the crime!" from The Revolution

1 of the things I find interesting is that she describes 1 of the results of a woman having an abortion, what is now called Post-abortion syndrome. She saw it back then, yet today's abortion promoters try & deny it even exists. I think I'll stick with Susan B. Anthony & her true brand of feminism, not this hatefilled anti-life fraud that some groups are trying to push today.

Both Her birthplace in Adams, MA & her later home in Rochester, NY are museums.

As an aside, I wish they had used the above picture for the dollar coin. It is much more flattering than the design they chose. In fact, most of her pictures I have seen, including profiles are more flattering than the coin was.
