Happy 100th Birthday to the Lady with the Tutti-Frutti Hat

Today marks what would have been the 100th Birthday of the Brazilian Bombshell, Carmen Miranda (nee Maria do Carmo Miranda Da Cunha). Born in Marco de Canavezes, Portugal her family moved to Brazil when she was quite young. Her vocal talents led to a contract with TCA & eventually to films. She quickly became 1 of the highest paid stars in Hollywood. Sadly she died much too young in 1955 of a heart attack at the age of 46.
