Bishop (actually Pope) Takes Queen - to the Woodshed

OR: Reading the 2 statements, you have to ask, "We're they even on the same planet, let alone the same room?"

Wednesday's meeting between Papa Benedetto & Nancy Pelosi took place after the Wednesday public Papal audience. Clearly someone was warned in the Vatican as there weren't the usual photo op poses.
It is also interesting to see what the Vatican press release had to say about the meeting: "His Holiness took the opportunity to speak of the requirements of the natural moral law and the Church’s consistent teaching on the dignity of human life from conception to natural death which enjoin all Catholics, and especially legislators, jurists and those responsible for the common good of society, to work in cooperation with all men and women of good will in creating a just system of laws capable of protecting human life at all stages of its development."
Compare this to what Queen Nancy's press release didn't say: "It is with great joy that my husband, Paul, and I met with his Holiness, Pope Benedict XVI today.
In our conversation, I had the opportunity to praise the Church's leadership in fighting poverty, hunger, and global warming, as well as the Holy Father's dedication to religious freedom and his upcoming trip and message to Israel.
I was proud to show his Holiness a photograph of my family's Papal visit in the 1950s, as well as a recent picture of our children and grandchildren."
Not a single word about what the Pope said, just a bunch of I-I-I-I statements. You would think that the Pope just stood there listening to her sing her own praises rather than taking her to the woodshed as he actually did. But how she handled it isn't surprizing. The Vatican gave her nothing to go on to enable her to uphold her "I'm pro-abortion but still a good Catholic" front. So she has to ignore his side of the conversation completely.
Sadly, her arrogance will some day catch up with her, let's just pray it happens this side of eternity while there is still time for her to repent.
____________
Also, it appears that shortly before the trip she finally found time to meet with Archbishop Niederauer. Even so, it seemed to have had no effect. Pelosi spokesman Brendan Daly said: "She is not changing her position on abortion." OK Archbishop, now what? The Pope did his part. The ball is in your court. More silence & no discipline will send the message that her stand is OK, endangering how many other souls as a result?
